4/5Very GoodMost of all, this is a hotel. In the morning and evening, you can watch various views of the Douro River through the terrace. So I recommend you go on a nice day. Unfortunately the Michelin restaurant is closed and not available, but the other one is great. There is a price range. The breakfast is quite good. It was one of the few hotels where I was satisfied with 3 nights of breakfast. Oh, it was a bit unfortunate that there was no bidet and bathtub in the room. I should have reserved a higher class room ...

5/5PerfectThe hotel is very good in all aspects, the service staff is friendly, the rooms are large and the view is very good. It is the best place to see the Douro River. It feels better than in Lisbon.

5/5PerfectThe hotel is very luxurious. The suite is large. The balcony is also big. The view from the balcony is very beautiful. You can take a taxi to the other side of the bridge and walk back to the hotel from the bridge. The toiletries are from the big grape family.

Terraced on a hillside across from the city of Porto, this former port warehouse shines as a premier luxury destination. The astounding range of wines on offer, and th truly stunning restaurant well deserves its two Michelin stars. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, comfortable yet not overdone. I was in a newer room on the lowest level of the hotel, which made it quite a trek to the lobby, but on holiday it was fine. The indoor and outdoor pools are lovely. My only reservations are with the inconsistent service - a bit of a wait and a disorganized check-in, a turndown service that didn't fully refresh the room, and not particularly attentive service at the regular restaurant and bar. It was quite a busy summer weekend, but for a truly five star property commanding such prices, I would expect better, if not approaching impeccable.
