We booked this place as we were attending a wedding in the area. An iron was kindly provided prior to arrival and keys were left securely for us as we advised we’d be arriving quite late, which ended up being after 7pm. We can’t thank the apartment host Silvia enough for all her help and kindness throughout our stay! Being a very remote setting Silvia was amazing in helping us arrange transport home from the friends villa, where they hosted a pre-wedding party, as we were having issues arranging transport/taxis due to other weddings also taking place locally! We also ordered breakfast croissants before the wedding, which were also delicious and delivered the next morning! The apartment was very spacious, with very comfy beds, the balcony was beautiful and the scenery was even better! This place is definitely and 10/10 and worth a visit, the only recommendation we’d have for anyone visiting is to book a hire car! We relied on friends staying closer to the venue for lifts where possible and the area is very remote and in a valley of quite steep hills, there isn’t much around in walking distance within an hour but the centre of Volterra is only a 10 minute drive and there’s a large co-op there where essentials can be bought at very reasonable prices! The apartment has all amenities to prepare your own lunch etc as there’s a cooker, fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave and coffee machine too.
