Molesworth Arms

I booked this hovel from misleading photos on the internet. Walked into the pub which was revolting then sneaked a look at the rooms which were awful. Needless to say we cancelled the booking. We travel extensively and have stayed in budget accommodation when we just need a bed for the night but The Molesworth was worse than third world

Great hotel, rooms lovely, beds comfy.Great breakfast. The staff were great from check in to leaving. Great location in the centre of town. Great deal booking direct with the hotel. We were visiting Tarquins Gin tour and used this hotel as an overnighter, we will certainly be back, thanks for a great stay.

Lovely place to stay the room was amazing the internet great the parking was fine has arrived early but would feel if late arrival parking would be a problem only downfall was the choice of food for vegetarians in evening meals offered (they don’t only eat salads or burgers) had to eat elsewhere which was a shame

Great place. I’ve stayed twice, February and March. The greeting I received from the team on checking in was first class. The rooms are large and nicely decorated, warm and comfortable. The food was beautiful, well presented and really tasty. The breakfast is really good too. I would say it’s a fantastic place and Claire has a great team who are friendly and are a credit to the Molesworth. I would use this place again when in area and recommend it to anybody.

Had a one night stay and the room was perfect for that with all the facilities we needed. Also ate in the bar with good food and although the price of the food is reasonably high (in line with most places now though!) it was good value and well presented. Service was excellent and standards of decor and cleanliness also very good. Check in and out was easy and breakfast also very good and set us up for the day. Good location with plenty of other places in easy reach and the Camel Trail just a short walk away.

A friendly, welcoming restaurant/hotel. We visit here often as we live locally, staff are very friendly and nothing is ever too much. Most times we visit we are always welcomed with a smile by a lovely girl called Claire, she really will look after you during your visit. Food is always fantastic and value for money. We always recommend family and friends to eat or stay here. A very well looked after and stylish pub. Well done Molesworth team, you’re doing a fantastic job!

Just had a 3 night stay at the Molesworth arms. The staff were very welcoming . The rooms were warm and the beds comfortable . Breakfast included was a bonus . There is a fantastic menu to choose from for snacks and evening meals and the food was delicious .

Old property, ceiling and stairway and window frame appear be subsiding and stairs uneven. Charming! but watch out.

I’ve just stayed in the Molesworth while on a work trip delivering boats around the coast. I arrived in the late afternoon, after a very long car journey from Edinburgh to Padstow. The pub/hotel/restaurant was exactly what I needed at the end of a long day: a car park directly outside, friendly staff showing me to my room personally rather than just pointing in the general direction; a nice cold beer or two sat in the covered courtyard area and some very nice food served in the bar itself. My room was comfortable and welcoming, quite “boutique” hotel in style, well equipped with TV, a fan, an armchair, a big double bed, with bedside tables and drawers, dresser with a welcome tray of tea, coffee and biscuits, bottled water and an handful of sweets. There’s even a hand written “welcome” note, which is a nice touch. The en-suite is a bit quirky and small but let’s be honest; it’s a toilet and a shower, how big does it need to be, really? The restaurant is really nice, the girls behind the bar are friendly and laid back, so it all feels like you’re a valued guest. The food is very good and quite reasonably priced with small plates being around £7.00ish and mains being in the £14 to £25 range. The bar has a good selection of lagers, ales and cider on draught. Great place for a stay on the North Cornwall coast especially if you want to avoid the busier Padstow area.
