The Oyster Inn

Following a grueling 7 day hiking trip on the South Island, my wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Oyster Inn. We stayed in Room 2, which is a large, modern, "cottage type" room that was very relaxing with a good pastoral view and lots of natural light. The food and service at the restaurant is first class. As a hotel guest, Sharon and her team provided us with great ocean view seating on the balcony for our dinners. The restaurant is 100% booked every evening. Breakfast was very good, also in a wonderful setting. Both the hotel, with only 3 rooms, and the restaurant are small, which truly adds to the Deep Charm of the Oyster Inn. On a Value Added note, Sharon directed my wife to a Yoga/Massage studio quite close to the Oyster Inn where my wife had both a facial and massage. We really loved our relaxing stay at the Oyster Inn. Everything was perfect.

Charming older building with just three rooms. Private and quiet but centrally located near restaurants and shops, and the beach. The Oyster Inn’s own restaurant is excellent!

Great place to stay on Waiheke! Close to the ferry close to bus stops, great food, wonderful staff, clean and comfortable room.

The breakfast was very unusual but so good. They were able to add and remove some of the ingredients I didn’t like. The room was super big, clean, good shower, very comfortable bed and cosy comforters to keep us warm. The food menu at the restaurant was delicious and very interesting. The staff was super friendly and efficient. 10/10 definitely going back

The staff were exceptional as well as the food delectable!! What a lovely, vibrant, welcoming place. We love our stay at the Oyster Inn. Top notch all the way around.

The room was cute and had everything we needed. Our room had two windows looking out to a car park so not much to see there. Comfy bed and nice linen, loved the aesop soaps! It's in a great spot and the restaurant was great. Breakfast comes free with your stay but it was a little average we had the bacon and egg brioche roll which was a bit dry. We also had the crumpets which were a little under done but the jam and cream it came with were amazing. We were the only ones there for breakfast and one of the staff members was vacuuming arround the space - not a great mood/vibe setter haha! Overall a nice space but not sure we would stay again. Definitely would come back to the restaurant though!

Great stay bit confused on where to check in, no parking spaces, but parking was close by. Beautiful room, clean, bed comfortable. Dined at restaurant, really enjoyed our meal ..thank you would recommend so convenient too, loved our stay.

We loved our visit to the oyster inn. The inn was darling and food spectacular. I was only sad that there wasn’t breakfast the day we left….. it was so delightful! Great accommodations snd setvice.
