This was an overall great stay. I was in town for business meetings and would recommend this hotel for SURE for a short stay. The rooms are predictable (if you have ever stayed at CitizenM anywhere else, then you know exactly what to expect) and comfortable. The wifi is good, the A/C is great, the shower and soap are great. Overall fantastic experience.

We really enjoyed staying at CitizenM. The high tech was cool, and we were able to check in 1 hour early. Loved it! There were some smokers in our hallway, however, when the cleaners came in, the smell was gone.

This hotel openly states that it targets a younger, hipper crowd, and they don't mean "young at heart." I am not a younger person. I felt some condescension from the staff because of this. I contacted hotel management about the situation, but received no response. If you are young and hip, this is a great place for you.

The hotel appears modern, but the rooms are small 'cabin-like' and only really suitable for 1 or 2 nights. There isn't much privacy from the shower/bathroom, and you have to climb over the bed to get to the window.
But it did the job for our 2 nights in Washington where we were out for most of the day anyway.
We couldn't seem to get the AC working for a bit of heat.
The staff were helpful on check-in and it all went smoothly.

You should be aware that rooms are 7’ x 20’. It is VERY small, which is not clearly stated in room description. Also, there are very few dining options within walking distance.
It is very clean and eco-friendly. The smallest, most inconvenient room we have ever had during our extensive travel. King rooms are not big enough for two people, for sure. Security was good.

This hotel is a refreshing change to drab hotels. Very clean - rooms are small, but you'll want to hang out in the very relaxing lounge areas. The rooms are controlled via iPad or the app on your phone. Mood lighting is very cool. I had the pizza at the bar - and it was fantastic - way better than I expected - one of the best pizzas I've had.

Situated 1/2 block from the L'Enfant (locals pronounced it "La Font" ) Plaza subway station; the whole city is accessible.The museums are within walking distance or 1 subway station away.
Rooms are small but comfortable for one or two people. Very clean, ultramodern with big fluffy pillows,sheets and towels.
There are few restaurants open in the evening so eat before making your way back.
