Hurricane in area could not travel.. Hotel refused refund or credit.. Will never book again this service or Hotel

Okay so I will start with the staff. They were really friendly. The hotel itself was not good at all. The morning that we left a roach was crawling up the wall. The bathroom was not clean.. the shower was dirty with what appeared to be mold and crust in the shower. The door to the bathroom would not shut without lifting the entire door. Given the small town where this is located, this hotel was the best so beware before you travel! The staff was really friendly!

We stayed here because the options where limited in this area. It was ok for a one night stay, not any longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was clean, but had a strong musty smell. looks like they're in the process of remodeling. Front desk staff very friendly, but the free breakfast, is allot to be desired, its good for a "snack",

I suffer from copd and cannot climb stairs. This hotel doesn’t even offer an elevator and forced me to climb stairs. When asked about moving to the bottom floor the front desk said we could however they wouldn’t place us there because they used the excuse that they were sold out but they were not and they didn’t want us to move then have to clean our room after housecleaning had left for the day. We moved to the econo lodge and only stayed at the quality inn for one night because again I can’t climb stairs and they charged me for three days. Never again . I will leave negative reviews on this hotel for many reasons.

They have truck parking and it is easy to get in room are clean

I occasionally HAVE to stay here because of business in the area. The front desk staff saved this rating. There was dirty underwear and a dirty towel left behind the bathroom door. The front desk clerk came and removed them and mopped the bathroom floor. No elevator but the front desk clerk did offer to help me carry my luggage up the steps. I should have remembered to request a downstairs room. I woke up during the night to find two bugs when I turned on the light. I killed them and tried to go back to sleep but that’s hard when you spend the rest of the night wondering if there are more. I did keep checking and didn’t see anymore. It is an older hotel so I know sometimes it is going to happen. Upside. The bed was comfortable. Also the breakfast is not much of a breakfast. They do have one waffle machine. No fruit no eggs, etc. Refrigerated little biscuits for you to microwave and watered down juice and cereal. When leaving the next morning the cleaning staff was coming in and a few of them reeked with the smell of *********. Perhaps this is the issue with housekeeping. Whiteville would benefit from a new hotel. This chain should tear this one down and rebuild. I know this sounds like it is absolutely dreadful and it is not the best but it is also not the worst. I’ve never found bugs before nor dirty underwear so hopefully they will make the corrections with the housekeeping and it will be better next time.

This was a very nice regular hotel, they were in the middle of doing some construction so with that being said it was as clean as it could be. The bed was very comfortable but could use better pillows but they did their job. All in all a very nice stay. Also the lady at the front counter was so kind and incredibly nice, gave a very warm welcome. Would def stay there again.

We were just spending the night on our way to the beach so it was fine for our purposes.
