ホテルは古いが朝食の質が良い、というホテル側のアピールが気になって選択した。
いや言ってもたかがビジホの朝食だし、そんなでもないだろうと思っていたが、評価を覆す必要がある。
朝食メニューは軽すぎない程度に、だが満足できる程度にボリュームがあり、どれも一般家庭で「少し頑張れば」再現できる内容ではあるが、一品ごとがしっかりと美味しい。
また、朝食でそれらが羅列される事で、満足して食べた後も「昼夜は何食べようかなぁ」に繋がる状況は、ホテルのロケーションとマッチしている。
仮にJRの主要路線沿いであれば、豪華な朝食に舌鼓をうって一日ゆっくりすることもできるが、ここは茨城の水戸線沿いである。
何かをするにも少々面倒な移動を余儀なくされる状況に意外とマッチしているのである。
こういった「思い返すと良いホテルだったなぁ」感のあるホテルって出会うの難しいから貴重だと思う。今後も頑張ってほしい。
