Hotels in Zhenjiang Railway Station/Wanda Plaza, Zhenjiang

The check-in process was seamless and efficient. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, providing all the necessary details about the hotel amenities, dining options, and nearby attractions. They even took the time to ask about my preferences, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another booking.

This is our first time to Zhenjiang. This hotel is within 10 minutes taxi ride from Zhenjiang railway station. On 27 Dec 2023, we arrived late at night and all the shops nearby the hotel have already closed. So, no dinner. The reception staff, Fang Rong and 张师傅, took good care of us by offering snacks and carried our luggage into the room. The hotel’s location and environment are fantastic! It is located at Xijindu ancient street where you can stroll along the ancient street. The museum and old British consulate are within walking distance from the hotel, through the ancient street, past a 观音 cave. Another tourist spot, Jinshan 金山 is also within 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel’s breakfast is delicious and good value for money. The hotel’s room is very clean, very comfortable and very nice. The hotel’s staff Steven is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Upon check out, we got a small trinket as souvenir. I had a pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you all for the outstanding service and warm hospitality during our stay.

The room was spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds and plenty of space. The small sofa chair was also very comfortable. This was my first time booking a Home Inn Select hotel in two or three years. I originally chose it for its proximity to the train station and the large bed. Although it only had a three-star rating, it was truly worth the money, and the stay was excellent. The cleaning lady we passed in the hallway greeted us proactively, and every staff member was beaming. Best of all, the price was incredibly affordable. 😂😂😂 (I'm talking like I'm dragging my child) I brought my elderly parents and children with me and booked two rooms, one facing the road and one facing the railway tracks. The side facing the tracks has double-glazed windows, so it's not a problem at night. I believe I'll be choosing Home Inn Select more often when traveling to other cities in the future, and I hope you'll keep choosing it.

This is my first time staying at a hotel in Zhenjiang. First of all, the pillows and bed sheets are very comfortable. The room is large. The bathroom has disposable face towels and bath towels, which are very clean and hygienic. The cost performance is very high. It is a maximum of 10 minutes' walk from Zhenjiang Station, which is suitable for travel or transit.

For the second time in this hotel. It has its grand look and ambience. Room is spacious and has everything is required. Day sofa is also nice. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. Just behind the hotel there is a shopping mall. Train station is also walking distance.

The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are small and the basic facilities are perfect. The service staff were more enthusiastic for three days. Only at 22:15 on the evening of the 19th, the toilet in the room was suddenly blocked. After the security staff went upstairs to check, he pressed the flush button and turned around and left directly without communicating with the guests. Watching the toilet still blocked, he could go to the end of the corridor and call back, and then asked him if he had a pump and no response. After a messy operation, the ground was a mess, and I gave me two bath towels and asked me to go. In the end, the toilet was pumped without water and could not be used. Negotiating with the front desk, I moved to another room with my child at 11 pm. This employee has no basic politeness norms, no normal professional ethics, and serious negativity.

I stayed here on a business trip earlier and had a good impression. This time, there was a small problem when arranging for out-of-town guests to check in. The hotel staff followed up and responded promptly (according to the information provided by my friend afterwards, the room was close to the elevator, maybe the problem originated from this) I will stay here again in the future, and hope the stay experience will be more stable.

The transportation is very convenient. Just cross the road from Zhenjiang Railway Station. The front desk service is very friendly. There are direct buses from the hotel to Xijindu and Beigushan. There is also a Wanda Plaza next to it.

The price didn't increase much during the holidays, and the price-performance ratio is very high. Other hotels have increased their prices a lot. The hotel is OK in all aspects, the breakfast is OK, there are many varieties to choose from, and everything you need is available. The service is good, and the location is OK. It is close to Wanda Plaza, convenient for eating and drinking, and not too far from various attractions.

Zhenjiang is my father's hometown. I once passed by on a business trip in the late 1990s. I remember that time I only visited Jinshan Temple. So this time I came to Zhenjiang after retirement. I read the Zhenjiang travel guide on Xiaohongshu, which recommended staying in hotels in the Xijindu area. So I searched on Ctrip and found that there were many hotels with good locations in Xijindu, and it was almost difficult to choose. After comprehensive consideration, I chose Shuxiang Xinbo Hotel. Among the hotels with a rating of 4.5 or above, I prefer the design style of the hotel, which is a combination of traditional and new designs. I was just worried that there would be no parking spaces for self-driving tours (the reviews said that there were few parking spaces at the door), so I contacted the hotel in advance to confirm the parking spaces. They said that there were still parking spaces at the door, and the hotel had another parking lot nearby, so there was no need to worry. Fortunately, we were able to park at the door for the two nights we stayed. Probably because of the off-season, I booked a double bed room, and the hotel upgraded it to a suite for free, with an elevator (the hotel was renovated from an old house in the Republic of China, and the building is about 4 or 5 floors high). The suite has a living room + cloakroom + standard king-size bed room. The space is relatively large and clean. The 2-meter-wide bed has good bedding, soft and comfortable, very nice. In addition to the standard toiletries, the bathroom is also equipped with a bathtub film. This is the only one we have seen in the multiple hotels we have stayed in since we drove all the way from Guangzhou. For this reason, this is also the only time we dare to take a bath in the bathtub in the hotel to relieve fatigue. The plastic slippers in the room need to be called to the front desk (this is the experience gained from this self-driving tour). The little robot will send the slippers up and will notify by phone. It is silent when walking and does not disturb people. It is very cute. Looking at the comments, there are criticisms about the electric control switch in the room. Sure enough, the design of the electric control switch is too alternative and niche, and the operation is not intuitive. You can only grope for the buttons. It feels that it is not suitable for hotel use, especially for the elderly. However, the switch is a small flaw and has little impact. Overall, the hotel experience is still very good and cost-effective.
