Mangshi is located in the western part of Yunnan Province and is the capital of Dehong Prefecture. Dehong Prefecture borders Myanmar and is China's gateway to South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is a city with a strong exotic style. In the city of Mangshi, on the top of Leiyarang Mountain and by the Peacock Lake, there is a gold tower and a silver tower facing each other across the mountain. They are the iconic buildings of this city and the holy land of the Dai people living here. The Menghuan Big Golden Pagoda was built in 2004, with a height of 76 meters and a base diameter of 50 meters. It enshrines the four-faced Guanyin Buddha statue and the architectural structure belongs to the style of the South Asian Dai Palace. On the opposite hill of the Menghuan Big Golden Pagoda is the equally large Menghuan Ten Thousand Buddha Silver Pagoda, which was built in 2010. The tower is 66 meters high and 46 meters in diameter. It enshrines ten thousand Buddha statues and places relics. The silver tower is based on white, and at a glance, it is pure and uncolored, holy and solemn.
