The hotel itself is new and quite clean except the beach area where it should be regularly cleaned as there are quite noticeable debris and trashes.
The ocean view room is very beautiful, the room is abit small comparing to the price but acceptable. However I find the bed and pillow are not comfortable. They are soft but somehow gave me body aches and every time you move there is a sound which is quite annoying.
Also to my surprise, with the price we paid, there was no welcome drink or cold towel. The reception staffs somehow didn’t really give me a welcoming/engaging or pleasant impression.
Also I forgot my baby swimming suit at the public shower near the pool and contacted the staff a day later to check and they said they couldn’t find.
Overall, I had a fun time with my little family there but the overall experience want up to my expectation considering the price.
I had a wonderful stay at this beachfront hotel! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the ocean, with stunning views of the sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. I especially appreciated their warm hospitality, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The restaurant served fresh and delicious food, and dining while overlooking the sea was a highlight of my trip.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing escape or a base for beach activities, this hotel is a perfect choice. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
This is a very local hotel, with most guests being Cambodian locals. The courtyard is huge, easily accommodating dozens of cars. It's conveniently located just across the road from the beach.
The front desk staff were very welcoming; after check-in, they even showed me to my room.
Breakfast is served on the first floor. While not lavish, it offered all the essentials.
The room was very spacious, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering sea views. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single chair in the entire room... I suppose they want guests to spend less time cooped up in their rooms during vacation.
The most disappointing aspect of this stay was that I happened to coincide with a company team-building event. They had booked out the bar on the second floor for their activities, even featuring a celebrity singer. Loud music blared through large speakers from 4 PM until 11 PM. Due to the hotel's open-plan structure, the noise from the second floor echoed all the way up to the top floor, making it impossible to get any rest. I only managed to fall asleep once the event finally ended.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Sara Resort. The room was clean and had all the amenities one would need. The pool area was wonderful and we got to spend time relaxing, contemplating and reading. Having the beach within a few steps was great. I loved being able to go for an early morning swim. The staff were friendly and attentive. The resort also had entertainment some of the evenings. My favorite aspect was being able to slow down and relax in a comfortable and chilled environment. Thank you Sara Resort and staff for a wonderful experience.

Stayed here for one night in January 2024. Just across the road from Otres Beach 2. Nice swimming pool and rooms are clean. Lacking hot water for the shower but apart from that included breakfast was nice and food in the restaurant good too although somewhat expensive.

Very nice stay at here. It is good for those who are looking for a nice quiet place to chill and have fun. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. A good value for money stay.
The private beach was pristine, with soft sand and clear water. The hotel provided complimentary loungers and towels. - Stunning beachfront location
- Comfortable and spacious rooms
- Excellent dining options
- Friendly and attentive staff
- Breakfast buffet was delicious
For those who like the natural feel, the way there and back would be attractive, but I was taken aback because it was a completely unexpected route. However, from the moment I checked in and went in to the moment I checked out, I thought it was such an attractive accommodation that I wanted to stay a few more days. I highly recommend it to those who have the time to stay at least 2 nights.

We stayed for three days and were absolutely thrilled!
This place is simply stunning! Our room offered breathtaking ocean views right outside the window, was private, and incredibly photogenic – my partner couldn't stop taking photos, haha! The service was impeccable. The staff were so thoughtful, always anticipating our needs.
The food was also superb! The beachfront restaurant served incredibly fresh seafood, caught and cooked on the spot. Breakfast even had a dedicated kids' section, making it perfect for families with little ones. For active guests, there's no need to worry! Kayaking, yoga, and more are all available, so you'll never get bored.
The highlight for me was the Spa. The therapists were incredibly skilled, and I felt completely revitalized afterwards! Overall, it offered excellent value for money. It truly caters to everyone – whether you're a couple on honeymoon, a family with various age groups, or a group of friends, everyone will have a fantastic time. I've already recommended it to my best friend!

GGuest UserThe place is so fresh, clean, and nice view. I highly recommend for couples, friends, and family. If u wish to have a private and relax trip, pls go there. The staff, managers, services are all very friendly. The price is reasonable with given breakfast. Will visit again!
VViktoriiaweiki absolutely love this place.
Food, beach, sea, pool everything was gorgeous. Any dish and drinks from menu was so much delicious.
Staff was so friendly and helpful.
It was really the best choice for such price.
Also I liked so much that can take for free some boats and kayaks from the hotel. We really had more fun there.
Also want to mention some minuses which maybe not totally connected with the hotel but would like somebody tell me in advance about it:
1) hotel doesn’t accept all cash. At our last day we need to get some changes and hotel didn’t accept my hundred dollar because there was some red stamp on it. As for me it’s so strange but I heard it could happen in Cambodia. But next day when we moved to the Sihanouk they accept this hundred dollar easily , so I don’t understand this logic too much. But even the hotel didn’t accept that hundred they still help us with some cash as for us it was urgent to buy tickets for early morning ferry.
2) and the biggest minus it was trip which we bought from the hotel: fishing +snorkeling +sunset+plankton
Never ever buy it! Safe 20$ for anything else. The most useless half of day of my trip was there. And what make me sad it was last day in the Koh Rong. Was upset that spent last evening at this stupid way.
The tour is organized by tourist group “three brothers “ and the hotel sell it. Could be nice if they tell from beginning that this trip is a total 💩and don’t allow spoil vocation of there customers. But anyway nobody force us to buy it so can’t totally blame hotel, but…😢
So will explain why I such upset about the trip. We came to the ferry and boat brought us to another place where stay 3 boats . Than we change boat and a guy just give us that special mask for snorkeling and tell: ok go… but our boat was staying between 2 other boats so how I should go I didn’t understand. After we sitting and don’t understand anything for 10-15 min other boats left than we decided to go inside water. There was no fish !!!!!!!!! Maybe maximum 5 fishes!!!!!! We saw more in the hotel.than fishing: they didn’t teach us anything didn’t explain anything we just stop they gave us something as thing for fishing and just went to sleep. Than after one hour when one chinese girl almost start to vomiting we went to dirty dirty and over dirty long set beach for sunset. And we arrived there around 3:30-4! So should wait for sunset 2 hours!!!!! When we ask to put at least music they said: captain want to sleep… And beach was over dirty!!!! Than they start to cook some food gave some drinks, we watch sunset was beautiful ( because thanks God they can’t spoil sunset) and then we went to watch plankton. I was so exited about that and than they stop us on the middle of the nowhere and don’t tell anything. Where is plankton? Full moon no have plankton… how we know it? Why we still stay in that place 30 mint. I would like to know answers for all this questions but nobody gave me it… so was the worst time from 1:30pm to 7:30pm. If don’t Wang to spoil u day never go there!!!!
YYulia/It was a pleasure to stay in this resort. Highly recommend. Felt myself like at home. The stuff is very friendly and nice. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The room is clean and spacious. The resort has its own beach. But we prefered to go to another one. It took 5-7 min to get there. And in the evening we were coming back also by ourselves since the boat can pick you up at the pier only at 6 pm. Overall it was a great staying. Would love to come back again.
MM.O.T.A.S around the worldWe were unfortunate to travel during low season, which in Koh Rong means 99% rain everyday, by conversations with locals they are fully aware of this yet all bookings and activities are business as usual but cannot be enjoyed, such as snorkling, BBQ boat etc. because of the weather we were stuck in the hotel 90% of the time, there is NO TV (it does say in room amenities, I read too late) so just be aware, specially if travelling with little ones. The pool is not an option because of thunder and lighting. It costs 15USD to get to the hotel from the pier. There is no ATM on the island only one stall that lets you use your card to pay the local then they give you the money, this is charged at 8% 😡 This is important because for lack of internet connection you cant always use card to pay at restaurant for your lunches and dinner, also when you can, there is a 3% fee to do so. All activities must also be paid in USD but old rugged bills are not accepted even if they have been given to you by other traders ib the island or if the bills got a bit wet in the rain, which was a frequent problem. So come with plenty of new dollars or you'll find yourself stuck with little options. the night before check out, we asked the staff to please let the ferry company know we would be taking the 9:30am ferry to Sihakouville (as instructed by the ferry company). We booked a 9:00am return trip to the pier as recommended. However as we arrived the ferry was leaving, at 9:15. We were not the only ones left behind. Some people had a flight to catch later that day and were made to pay another 17USD per person as according to them it was ”impossible” to fit them into one of the almost-empty-boats of one of the other many ferry companies, because they dont work together, some families payed up to 70USD to not miss their flight despite it not being their fault. The hotel was standard, for a beach hotel, nice huts, the beds were clean and comfortable and the highlight was definitely the food at the restaurant, over the 4 days, we tried many dishes all of them delicious. I can imagine during sunny season it must be a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. saying this, I already thought it was overpriced for low season compared to similar hotels in Thailand and Bali, so for me the price you would pay in high season I would not consider it, specially given the whole experience with the ferry and USDs. ☹️

WWinston1979Received a very warm welcome! Helpful Staff! Helped me book my scuba diving and my ferry ticket. The room was good and cooled! I only miss a phone and because I was sick I had to go to the restaurant myself to order my food (no room service). Menu card was not set up for vegans. Also the breakfast not. I could literally only eat fruit and potatoes for breakfast.
In the end I had a nice meal after negotiating with the Staff!
I would have liked the room with sea view, which had two glass walls.
Furthermore, wonderful stay on the beach! As a solo traveler who was really there for my peace, this was a great location on Koh Rong!

SSpectRe44The sea shore is perfect: very nice white sand, comfortable sea entrance that will be very nice for small children. No coral boots needed. Better choose sun beds not close to the sea to avoid sand flies.
Very good breakfast - nice choice of fruits. Overall good kitchen at the restaurant - big plates.
Trip from the pier costs 5$ per person one way.
WC in the room has no ceiling - so you’ll hear your couple doing things from the rest of the room 🙃
GGuest UserThe hotel is lovely and the pools are clean. The staff are very friendly and really helpful. The only thing we found was our shower in our pool view room was not good. It was more like a trickle of water. Once the staff were informed they tried to rectify the issue but the same happened the following day. We don’t eat in the hotel restaurant other than breakfast as the prices were expensive compared to other places close by. This was obvious as well as the restaurant was never busy. Even when they had their BBQ in the evening. Sometimes there was no one sat there at all. But staff are friendly
AAnonymous UserLocation: Perfect and peaceful island setting in Cambodia.
Service: Needs more attention from top management. Due to staff shortages during peak holiday season, service was inconsistent, affecting the overall guest experience.
Boat Schedule Issue: There was a mismatch in boat schedule information between the reservations team and the front desk. This created difficulties for guests without private transportation, especially since the island is remote and ride-hailing apps (Grab/PassApp) are not readily available. The hotel’s private taxi service charges **$50 one-way**, which feels excessive—management should reconsider pricing.
Food Options: Limited menu choices in the restaurant, and the menu was only in English with no pictures. As a local Cambodian, I sometimes struggled to identify dishes.
Room & Amenities: Fantastic—clean, comfortable, and hygienic.
Breakfast: Absolutely delicious!
SPA: Highly recommended! Relaxing and affordable, especially with the hotel’s 30% exclusive discount. One of the best parts of my stay.
Buggy Service: A major letdown. Upon checkout, the front desk failed to inform us that no buggy was available. We waited **almost an hour** with no updates, even after calling twice. Eventually, we had to walk to reception.
Overall: This hotel has great potential but needs better communication, staffing adjustments, and improved guest convenience (transportation, food options, and service reliability).
