5 Cafes in Bali That Will Make You Want to Come Back.
Bali is a true culinary oasis. The island offers everything from authentic Balinese dishes to a diverse array of gourmet cuisines.
We were genuinely surprised to find that Bali is packed with beautifully designed, modern spots boasting 4.6+ ratings, where the staff offers exceptional service to their guests.
By the way, just a heads-up: in Bali, a service charge and tax are typically included right on your bill.
1. Sinaloa Bali (Legian area, between Kuta and Seminyak, Google Maps rating 4.6) - photos 2 and 3
We ended up having dinner here 3 times during our vacation!
The interior is styled after vintage colonial Mexico, serving up a great variety of classic and signature cocktails alongside Mexican and Cuban street food.
The place is quite small, so it's best to book in advance if you can. In the evenings, there's live music on the second floor, and they frequently run cocktail promos like 50% off all cocktails or 2-for-1 Margaritas. The absolute best drink here is the Dragonfruit Margarita—we definitely recommend giving it a try!)
As for the food, the dish that stood out the most was their traditional Mexican-style Guac and Chips—crispy tortilla chips served with freshly made guacamole. Their quesadillas are also delicious.
2. Ling-Ling’s Bali (Seminyak area, Google Maps rating 4.9) - photos 4 and 5
This is a modern Asian restaurant located right in the heart of Seminyak, on Jalan Petitenget. The venue specializes in Japanese and Korean cuisines, offering a diverse menu.
The restaurant's menu features dishes like sushi, rolls, Korean BBQ, and other Asian delicacies. Plus, Ling-Ling’s regularly hosts themed events, such as “Taco Tuesday” and “Piano Sing-Along,” adding a fun twist to the entertainment lineup for their guests.
By the way, all guests are served free popcorn as soon as you sit down at your table)
3. Wild Habit Pizza (Seminyak area, Google Maps rating 4.8) - photos 6 and 7
A popular pizzeria specializing in Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. The dough is fermented for three days, which guarantees a light and airy crust.
The menu includes a variety of pizzas made with both local and imported ingredients. Guests are also offered an extensive selection of cocktails, wine, and craft beer. Everyone raves about the tiramisu for dessert here—we gave it a try and highly recommend it too!)
4. Friends Bar (Canggu area, Google Maps rating 4.9) - photos 8 and 9
A cozy bar designed for friendly get-togethers and chilling out in a relaxed atmosphere. The interior feels just like a living room where guests can unwind, chat, and enjoy a variety of entertainment.
We didn’t try the food there; we dropped by specifically to grab some tasty cocktails.
The bar also features a pool table, darts, and card games, making it a super fun place to hang out.
5. The Plantation Grill (Seminyak area, Google Maps rating 4.7) - photos 10 and 11
Lastly, we want to tell you about a luxurious restaurant (with above-average prices) located on the fourth floor of the Double-Six Luxury Hotel, which is absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner for two.
The interior is designed in a 1920s style with marble finishes, high vaulted ceilings, and panoramic ocean-view windows (if you want a table with a view, it's best to reserve in advance).
The menu features exquisite steaks, a variety of seafood and delicacies, as well as high-end desserts. In addition, The Plantation Grill offers an extensive selection of wines and cocktails. As a complimentary treat, guests are served salted butter with a pretzel—it is simply delicious!
The jazz music and an opera singer who makes appearances at various times, strolling among the tables, will definitely leave an unforgettable impression on you (and it didn't feel intrusive at all).
