Barry Island, Wales - What is not to love when the sun is shining? It has a golden beach, some retro shops, a pleasure park and all in the UK! Out of the many beaches that surround the UK, it’s one of the most up and coming beaches especially if you live in the surrounding Midlands or South West of England as it’s easy to get to. The beach is much better than nearby Weston Super Mare! Plus there are many cool backdrops that are great for insta worthy photos! It’s also one of the backdrops of Gavin and Stacy so it may remind you of the fun of Barbados! If rating higher than 5 stars was possible, I'd give the Gavin and Stacey tour of Barry Island a 6! Carrie was absolutely fantastic – we’ve never met such an enthusiastic guide. She was both knowledgeable and hilarious. The tour was smoothly organized, and at no point did we feel rushed or left waiting. Plenty of chances were provided to capture photo memories (especially with the face masks). The points of interest were perfectly chosen, and every moment was thoroughly enjoyable.
