It doesn’t matter how many photos you’ve seen, walking across it, high above the Avon Gorge, the quiet is deeper than expected. You feel small, but not in a bad way. Just… present. 🎨 Stokes Croft was buzzing. Murals blooming across brick, little independent shops with crooked shelves and handwritten signs. Found a record store with a cat asleep in the window. The man behind the counter told us about a gig that night, we didn’t go, but it was nice being told anyway. 🛶 Down by the harbourside, things moved slower. People lying on the grass. Boats bobbing gently. We had cider 🍺 cold, sharp, perfect 👌 and sat watching a guy paint on a tiny canvas. Didn’t say much. #uktrip Without a doubt, One of the best museums I’ve been to! It holds so much history and science. From the entrance all the way to the end of the exhibits, the staff is very helpful and there is a lot to do, see and learn. What really captured my interest was the inside of the SS Great Britain itself. First we thought it was only the deck of the ship that is open to explore. But many of the ships interior, including cabins, kitchens, dining halls, engine room etc were very nicely presented with descriptions and figures. Don’t forget to see the ghost in the engine room! 😛 I’d say you can spend quality 3 hours in this place. If you want to grab a bite before or after visiting the museum, they have a cafe right there or there are a lot of restaurants just 5 minute walk away. They have a souvenir shop too. You can find all sorts of key tags, puzzles, bags and what not there. Since they are an independent entity every purchase will help them preserve the museum for future. You can find toilet facilities throughout the museum premises as well. In terms of parking, they have a car park very close to the museum itself and you can pay at the museum office for parking which actually makes it cheaper than that at the parking machine.

Standing on the bridge, you can overlook the magnificent view of the Avon Gorge. It's truly breathtaking. When the sunset glow falls on you, the whole world is dyed warm orange. It's a great place to take photos, and every frame can be used as wallpaper! There's also Bristol Harbor, where colorful houses line the riverbank and small boats sway on the water. It's full of life and romance, and walking around feels like stepping into a fairy tale. 🏛️【Historic Buildings】 You must visit Bristol Cathedral! Now there is only one building left in the entire observatory. It looks very lonely, with a huge lawn next to it. 📍This is an ideal location to enjoy the views of Bristol city and Clifton Suspension Bridge, as well as the steep Avon Gorge and beautiful scenery. 📍The view from there is breathtaking, it is definitely an unforgettable place. The camera obscura offers stunning views of Bristol and along the Gorge. The view from the Giant’s Cave is breathtaking, even through the fence. I enjoyed a nice weekend staying in bristol's old city. While there were no raving feedbacks from people who had previously considered bristol for weekends. I thought my time was well spent and the city worked for me. Especially from the perspective of a weekend getaway. It allowed for a decent mix of different things. Iw as put up in the old city because iIstick with older parts of town and I'm into heritage. But otherwise too it think in case of Bristol the best backpacker options are here. So depending on your budget you may pick a place. There is stoke croft which has very good and decently priced backpacker options too. Other than that you have southville and Clifton too. Places that i visited during the weekend break and were nice. As for things to too, I would highly recommend a walking tour. It was a great way to get to know so much about a place and get insights from a local guide. Also, the Bansy trail that is part of some walking tours is super fun. There's a good mix of heritage, churches, harbor and landmarks like the cliffton suspension bridge to explore. It would allow come down to what sort of traveller you are what preferences. Everyone thinks There’s so much Mexican food available⋯⋯ Italian food may be a safer choice for Asians⋯⋯ As a result we decided to take the plunge and try Sri Lankan food in the UK! 😅 Because we were looking for a restaurant for dinner, we went to Stokes Croft at the north end of Bristol city center. As we walked... we couldn't help but get nervous because of the dense and ostentatious graffiti. Some even climbed onto the doors and windows of the building to ask their friends. , he used "Sham Shui Po" to describe this area. To briefly describe, Bristol was in dire straits after World War II, but development was concentrated in the city center, Stokes Croft was marginalized, and there were many abandoned houses. Gradually, small businesses with local characteristics have gathered, as well as street artists’ studios and gathering spots. However, using "Sham Shui Po" to describe this place only gives me, a tourist from Hong Kong, a general impression, and it cannot simply summarize a place. The restaurant we ate at that night was called Nadu. The owner is a Sri Lankan. We ordered grilled fish and boiled mutton. Selling point, give it a try! 🍸 After dinner, the sun was still shining brightly during the long British summer day, but most of the shops except restaurants were closed. I didn’t explore in depth.
