Visited the Christmas Experience on 30th December. At £34 for an adult ticket, it wasn't cheap but in our view excellent value for money! We had an amazing afternoon. The house was beautifully decorated in an advent theme and the illuminated gardens and light projection onto the side of the house were spectacular. Everything was excellently managed by courteous and efficient staff and there was no waiting for anything even though it was fully booked on that day.
All in all a truly magical experience. Highly recommended as a Christmas event for all the family to enjoy. We will definitely return next year!
Chatsworth House is a beautiful, picturesque and grand stately home that is worthy of a day out with family.
We went to visit the Christmas decorations at the house and illuminated trail around the garden. It is highly recommend to do both in the winter months.
There is also a farm on the estate, which children will enjoy. Also, there is a cafe that serves a good selection of food.

Peak District National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The Peaks
The Peak District, sometimes known as the peaks or the Peaks, is a mountainous region in North West England. The region is mostly rural and extremely beautiful, with the view at night looking like something out of a fantasy movie. Here, you can hike the trails, go camping by the lake, go bouldering in the rocky hillsides, or simply go fishing in a peaceful pond. It's truly a vacation worth taking if you want to get away from everything. Exploring nearby villages also makes a lovely addition to exploring this part of the country.
Peak District
The Peak District is an upland area in England at the southern end of the Pennines. Mostly in Derbyshire, it extends into Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. It includes the Dark Peak, where moorland is found and the geology is dominated by gritstone, and the White Peak, a limestone area with valleys and gorges. The Dark Peak forms an arc on the north, east and west sides; the White Peak covers central and southern tracts. The historic Peak District extends beyond the National Park, which excludes major towns, quarries and industrial areas. It became the first of the national parks of England and Wales in 1951.
🌲Embracing Nature's Canvas Peak District 🏞️
#fallingseason Venturing into the heart of Peak District National Park, I embarked on a journey through nature's masterpiece. Among rolling hills and heather-clad moors, I discovered the true essence of wilderness. The sweet melody of birds echoed through ancient woodlands, where centuries-old trees whispered tales of time gone by. Hiking along rugged trails, I was greeted by panoramic vistas that stole my breath away. In quaint villages, friendly smiles welcomed me, and hearty meals satisfied my appetite after a day of exploration. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the night sky lit up with a myriad of stars, painting a picture of infinite beauty. Peak District, a symphony of landscapes, left an indelible mark on my soul.
It was a great experience, fresh air and the condition of the walking path is good.

Manchester - Bamford Edge
At the end of December 2023, I was hiking in the Peak District of Manchester, UK; the impressive wind was so strong that I had to stand firm to prevent my less than 50 kg body from taking off~
The weather was not good, it was raining and sunny, but on the way down the mountain, I still felt the warm sun; the most healing thing was the sheep with green butts along the way, and the horses in red down jackets; what surprised me even more was that the pony was not afraid of humans at all. It slowly approached me, got close to me, allowed me to touch its mane, and in the exchange of eyes, I seemed to be able to feel its loneliness. Perhaps it, like us at some times, needs friends, needs playmates
