I have some hours to spare before my flight in Frankfurt Thus, I decided to stay in Karlsruhe to visit the zoo. It was much bigger and better than what I had in mind. There was a huge varieties of animals. I got to see the cute otter, sea lions, penguins, alpacas etc. I got to see birds and marine life too. What's most interesting is that there is an area of bat's. It got me nervous and excited. In this Zoo, there is also a big garden for you to stroll and admire the flowers.

When I reached the outside of the hotel, I felt so pleased. The building of the hotel was red in colour. Red is my favourite colour. I then proceed to check in. It was December and thus, the reception was filled with Christmas decorations. It really warmed my heart. After settling in, I proceed to go to my room. The room was nice and comfortable. #fallingforfall I was assigned on a business trip to Karlsruhe Germany. I am thankful that my company sent me there. It gave me a chance to expand my horizons and also a chance to visit the city on Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe is a city in southwestern Germany and it is the third-largest city of the German state of Baden-Württemberg after its capital of Stuttgart, and Mannheim, and the 21st-largest city in the nation. On the first day of my business trip, we discovered some absolutely beautiful trees with red leaves. There was also a building which is covered with many red leaves. I was very pleased to capture close up photos of the red leaves.

It is on a short hop from the main Street of the town where I saw many restaurants with cuisine from all around the world which I really liked. The weather is comfortable, about 20 to 25 degrees, suitable for walking and taking pictures without being too hot. We didn't drive during the entire trip, and were able to move easily by tram and on foot in the city. You can also climb to the top of the palace tower (💰average cost: ticket price around €5), from which you can overlook the radial city planning, which is spectacular! ✅ Reason for recommendation: Free large garden, magnificent architecture and good for taking photos. The highest point in the city with a broad view. ⸻ 🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: 🍝 Dining in the city center Although Karlsruhe is not large, it has a surprisingly diverse range of food options. We had a traditional German meal at "Lehners Wirtshaus Karlsruhe and Vogelbräu" in the city center, and ordered a sausage platter with their own beer, which cost about €28 in total. If you want to eat some exotic food, there are also good Italian and Turkish restaurants nearby. 📍Address: Karlstraße 21a, 76133 Karlsruhe 🕰️Business hours: 10:00-22:00 💰Average consumption per person: 15€-30€ ✅ Recommended reason: Many choices, reasonable price, and dining time is about 1.5-2 hours. ⸻ 🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: 🌳 Zoo (Zoologischer Stadtgarten) If you also like taking a walk or taking your children out, this place that combines a park and a small zoo is highly recommended. There are water birds, giraffes and a garden train inside, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. 💰Average consumption per person: Tickets are about €12, and you can walk around slowly for the whole afternoon. ✅ Reason for recommendation: Find peace and quiet in a bustling place, combine animals and nature, fun and relaxing. ⸻ 🛍️ Walking Street and Shopping It is also nice to stroll around the shopping street of Kaiserstraße. ZARA, DM and Müller are all concentrated in this area. There are many coffee shops along the street. I recommend Café Brenner for its cakes and iced coffee (around €6). There is an observation deck on the top of the mountain that overlooks the entire city and the plains. It is a popular place for locals to relax on weekends. 💰Per capita consumption: • 🎟️ Cable car ticket price: around €2.50 one way • ⏰ Recommended stay time: about 1.5 to 2 hours (can be combined with a walk or a light meal) 💞Recommended reasons: • ✅ Reasons for recommendation: wide view, convenient transportation, and special cable car experience. The air is so fresh. I didn’t expect that there is a place to purify the soul in the city. 🌅 Conclusion Karlsruhe is a city with a perfect pace. Three days and two nights is just right. You can relax without having to rush. The transportation is convenient and you can move around easily by walking and taking the tram. Recommended for travelers who like culture, walking and relaxing itineraries!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is a modern style of eating and drinking, unlike traditional German restaurants. The restaurant is spacious, decorated with various pictures and bright lighting. The menu offers easy-to-eat food such as salads, German-style pizza (called Tarte Flambee), various toppings, and main courses of meat. As for drinks, there are beers, cocktails, mocktails, and even the restaurant's own special blended fruit juices. It's just as serious as the food. For this meal, I ordered the following: ➡️ Classic Tarte Flambee A German pizza with a thin crust baked until crispy. Topped with sour cream, spicy bacon, shallots, and spring onions. Very enjoyable to eat. ➡️ Schnitzel This is German-style fried breaded pork. Here, it's fried well, not oily, and the pork is tender. Eat it with lemon and cut the sweetness with the jam served with it. Perfect with salad and mashed potatoes. ➡️ Pear-Mint Lemonade This is a blended juice recipe from the shop. It's sour, sweet, and refreshing. It's made from real fresh fruit juice. It's just as delicious as the cafe drinks. Ettlinger Tor is a large department store located in the heart of the old town, right in the middle of the train station and the market square. It also has parking. It is convenient to travel by train, tram or rent a car. There are more than 130 stores in this department store, including international and local clothing brands, accessories, cosmetics, and restaurants. There is really everything to choose from. There is also a huge Müller store here. You can shop until you forget the time. Inside the mall, the heater is very warm and comfortable. During this trip, we went to the Pyramid nearby to have our dinner. We also explored the surrounding area of the Pyramid as there was beautiful Christmas decorations. Thus, my boss, customers and I went down to have a look. It was a spectacular sight with the lights imposing on the Palace. With the music going on, it was an enjoyable experience. #christmas2023 I have been fortunate enough to visit Karlsruhe Germany because of work. During my last visit, it was the Christmas Festive Season and thus, there were a few Christmas Markets set up. We of course had to visit one. As expected, there were many stalls selling snacks and came with many beautiful and spectacular Christmas decorations. We spent some time taking quite a number of photos.
