#tesaruonbudget Tucked away in the lush Pyengana region, St Columba Falls is one of Tasmania’s tallest waterfalls, cascading dramatically through a dense rainforest canopy. The walk to the base is short, free, and absolutely worth the drive, making it a perfect budget-friendly inclusion for nature lovers. You’ll be enveloped by ferns, mossy logs, and the calming sound of rushing water. Pack a picnic and linger — there are shaded areas nearby, and if you’re lucky, you might spot native birds flitting around the trail.

#australiatrip Approx 2-3km return trip on a dirt path with some steps involved. It can get a bit muddy after rain. There are multiple waterfalls on this hike and also a scenic weir - a short detour from Halls Falls. Very nice walk and there's a clear map at the start of the walk. It's about one hour return but if you stop at points to points it will take a bit longer. Nice waterfall and the weir isn't too far away either. ✨
