Came for brunch with myfamily on Sunday and was pleasantly greeted with a warm welcome from the staff at the counter who then accommodated us ordering from the vast selection of pastries. Inside the temple, you’ll find a three-story pagoda with a laughing Buddha statue on the top floor. Although Then Sze is primarily a Taoist temple, it also contains Buddhist images, which is common in many Chinese temples in Malaysia. The main Then Sze Holy temple is built into the rock face and houses a drum, a Qing Dynasty bell, an ornate door, antique lanterns, and ceiling hangings. Outside, there are shrines called the Purple Cane Gazebo and the Datuk Altar. Besides the centipede, another attraction is the God of Marriage statue, referred to as Yue Lao.
