——A day trip to the Pamir Plateau ➡️At the junction of China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan lies a mysterious realm where the Kunlun Mountains, the Karakoram Mountains, the Hindu Kush, and the Tianshan Mountains converge. Here, the mountains are perennially snow-capped, and this is the westernmost point of China—the Pamir Plateau, which in ancient times we called the Onion Range. 🕌️Departing from Kashgar and following the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway westward, with the Kongur Tunnel as the boundary, above lies the Pamir Plateau with its blue skies, white clouds, and clear waters against white sands; below is the ancient city of Kashgar, recently shrouded in continuous days of sandstorms, blocking out the sun. Nature is so magical, one moment it's paradise, the next it's hell, with the flip of a hand bringing clouds and covering it brings rain. ⛰️Because it's a day trip, there are a few fixed scenic spots: Hongshan Pass, Baisha Mountain - Baisha Lake, Karakul Lake - Muztagh Ata. 🏔️The scenery of Baisha Mountain and Baisha Lake is beautiful, with the water appearing crystal clear and azure under the sunlight, which is said to turn gloomy and dark on cloudy days. 🌊Standing by Karakul Lake, one can gaze at both Muztagh Ata and Kongur peaks simultaneously. The perennial snow-capped mountains, set against the glittering lake, appear even more sacred.
