It's about a 2.5-hour drive from Fukuoka. Is it really worth it? . . . Although the tour guide kept saying the crater could close at any time, some people only saw it on their fourth trip. I'm so grateful for arriving in Aso on a beautiful day. 🫶🏻 I think Mount Aso is the most worthwhile attraction of this trip. Watching the volcanic activity in the active crater.
