I visited "Aso Shrine" located in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture. I initially planned to stop by after visiting Mount Aso, but I discovered that I could go directly by train! I took the train to get there and returned to Aso Station by bus. Aso Shrine is the main shrine of approximately 500 Aso Shrines across Japan. With over 2,000 years of history, its beautiful architecture, including the tower gate and worship hall, is a highlight. The shrine grounds, surrounded by the great nature of Aso, offer a tranquil atmosphere that calms the mind and provides a sense of healing.
