A new cafe with a strong industrial feel, Shirley - that's its name, has appeared in Canggu. Initially Google Maps showed the wrong location, either because it was the same name or it was the same place but had changed location. Luckily the correct location is not that far away. The exterior shape is interesting, from the outside it looks like a roof emerging from the ground, it turns out that when you enter there are 3 floors & using the slope of the ground for the floor below which looks like a basement – which is said to be used by tenants in the future. Even though the second floor, which looks like an indoor garden, can be occupied, we chose the first floor, which is more open, in a spot with ironwood accents in the background – it looks like it will be a favorite spot. Even though the space is semi-open, because on one side there isn't a shortage of it, the air circulation isn't optimal, especially in Canggu where it's definitely hot. Luckily, the ceiling fan and a glass of thick, fresh Iced Long Black helped me, perfect for easing the heat. Moreover, it turns out that for the coffee they collaborated with @feelslike_sundaybali, a coffee shop in Dewi Sri which really suited our tastes. Unfortunately the pastry was only ready when the coffee in our glasses was finished. But that's okay, after all, a slice of @ituaja.bakery's carrot cake which was rich in spices and soft was the perfect partner for our coffee that morning.
