China National Geographic Scientific Expedition to Northern Xinjiang Autumn Colors of Kanas Lake

🍃9.20 Finally arrived at the highlight of this trip, the long-awaited fairyland Kanas Lake. Located in the deep mountains and dense forests in the north of Burqin, it is the deepest glacial barrier lake in the country, with the deepest part of the lake being 180 meters. Here is the most typical Siberian spruce and fir forest. 🍃First, climb up 1068 steps to reach the Fish Viewing Pavilion, overlooking the quiet and secluded green lake from a high place. The verdant spruces and the golden birch forests, deciduous pines, and bright wild rose hips are intertwined into a colorful palette, with blue sky, white clouds, and snow-capped mountains. No language can describe the beautiful scenery. Then came to the Fairy Bay, at noon, without the morning fog, the Fairy Bay lost its fairy spirit, the feeling is general, along the roadside wooden plank road to the Moon Bay. Soon it went down to the water's edge, there was only a wild road trodden by the predecessors, not knowing where it led, sometimes up and down, sometimes reaching the beautiful scenery by the lake, sometimes shuttling through the forest, sometimes climbing up with hands and feet, sometimes sliding and running down, sometimes stopping to appreciate, until exhausted to climb to the Moon Bay, check in at the most representative winding lake surface of Kanas. From Moon Bay to Wolong Bay, it's much easier, down to the water's edge, all the way along the plank road. 🍃The tourist experience in Kanas is very good, without the queues and crowds that were worried about before. Perhaps the arrangement of the scenic spot transfer center is not very friendly to individual tourists, and must be traveled by shuttle bus. Fortunately, the charter car entered, and the flow of people everywhere was moderate, without crowded crowds. 🍃The only regret is that the weather is a bit hot, on September 20 there are not many yellow leaves, yellow, green and red are interspersed, but it is already enough to satisfy. It is said that it snowed in Kanas two days after we left, and I suppose it must have turned into autumn overnight.
