The young actor Yu Shi's interlude song "Moonlight" makes Altay's natural beauty and cultural heritage even more captivating. The popular CCTV series "My Altay" showcases the magnificent scenery of Altay, Xinjiang, and the cultural richness of the Kazakh ethnic group through grand, poetic shots and enchanting music. Listening to the song, I arrived at Kanas, the primary filming location of the series. Here, the snow-capped mountains, forests, and lakes intertwine like a painting, earning it the reputation of "God's Back Garden." Hemu Village is famous for its pointed wooden houses, morning mist, and starry nights, and is known as "Little Switzerland of the East." Baihaba Village is even more fairytale-like, with Kazakh dwellings and birch forests shimmering under the sunlight. Altay's charm lies not only in its natural scenery but also in the pure vitality of the symbiotic relationship between humans and the land. Just as the line in the series says, "Even a bumpy life should be lived brilliantly," the blend of Kazakh tradition and modernity imbues this land with eternal poetry. In beautiful Altay, I saw the lush green "summer pasture," just like in the TV series, with its murmuring streams, distant snow-capped mountains meeting white clouds, and flocks of cattle and sheep dotting the landscape, resembling an oil painting. I could almost see Li Wenxiu hopping around, picking mushrooms and strawberries... From the azure sky to the deep blue lake, from the colorful Danxia landforms to the pine-scented forests, every frame of Altay is like a "scenic blockbuster," worthy of being called "wallpaper-grade healing." Yu Shi's Kazakh-language rendition of "Moonlight" on the dombra, combined with the northern Xinjiang scenery of Altay, creates a pure and heartfelt picture. The handsome actor's singing is captivating, and Yu Shi, the actor who plays Bata, impressed the audience with his rare horseback riding prowess, adding a sense of primal vitality to the scenes. My mind is filled with images of Bata galloping on horseback: his body perfectly aligned with the horse's back, his movements as agile as the wind, and his long hair flowing, showcasing the unfettered and wild spirit of a nomadic youth. His soft whispers as he strokes the horse's mane, intertwined with the horse's breathing, create a sense of oneness with nature, presenting a pure beauty untamed by modern civilization. In Altay, I intentionally focused my lens on the spirited horses in the grasslands, flower fields, mountains, and along the riverbanks. In Xinjiang, I even visited a breeding base for "Akhal-Teke horses" and took close-up shots of a horse with gentle eyes, just like "Treading Snow." I understand: In nomadic culture, the bond between humans and horses transcends any language. In beautiful Altay, the scenes of humans and horses have been elevated to an aesthetic symbol.
