Just returned from Cairo, listen to my real feelings

- The internet is full of stories about how Egypt's tourism is full of scams and fraudsters. I've compiled my experiences from the past 2 days in Cairo to help you understand their tricks. · 1⃣️The landing visa is 25 US dollars, don't listen to others at the airport saying it's 60 2⃣️Many bathrooms in Cairo charge a fee, 5-10 Egyptian pounds 3⃣️Bathrooms, including those at Cairo airport and the Egyptian Museum, may not have water to flush, be prepared, bring your own tissues 4⃣️Pay attention to the signs at the bathroom door, if it says free, don't pay anyone who asks for money 5⃣️Baggage claim, currency exchange, and phone card services are all in the same place at the airport 6⃣️I've heard there are many issues with phone cards, I used roaming, 10r a day is not expensive 7⃣️Try to visit the Pyramids and the Sphinx in the morning, the temperature in October is not high and there's a cool breeze 8⃣️It's not necessary to go inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu, it's hard to climb and there's nothing to see 9⃣️Arrange a lunch at the 9 Pyramids Lounge, where you can eat while looking at the pyramids, remember to book in advance 1⃣️0⃣️The Egyptian Museum has no air conditioning, the restaurants outside sell expensive water, remember to bring a bottle of water 1⃣️1⃣️Tour groups usually arrange to go to the museum in the afternoon, I suggest going in the morning and taking your time, the bathrooms charge a fee 1⃣️2⃣️You must visit the oasis in the desert, 'Al-Azhar Park', where you can take city photos with the pyramids in the background 1⃣️3⃣️Have a meal at the Citadel View Restaurant where you can see the Al-Aziz Mosque, it's amazing both during the day and at night 1⃣️4⃣️Prices in Egypt, Coke is 9 Egyptian pounds, 600ml water is 6 Egyptian pounds, near the attractions Coke is 100 Egyptian pounds 1⃣️5⃣️Egyptian license plates and roadside stall price tags are in Arabic numerals, be prepared to have a comparison chart saved on your phone 1⃣️6⃣️If any Egyptian talks to you in the scenic area, pretend you don't understand, they're basically all scammers, they charge for taking photos/helping with directions 1⃣️7⃣️Walking around the Al-Halili market at night really gives you a feeling of 'One Thousand and One Nights', but be careful not to get your bag stolen 1⃣️8⃣️I suggest staying in a five-star hotel, then you won't have problems like no hair dryer, no toiletries, no bottled water, it will improve your happiness in Egypt 1⃣️9⃣️Don't stay in the old city, especially in homestays near the pyramids, the old city is really run-down, it feels a bit unsafe at night 2⃣️0⃣️I suggest women come in groups, or join a tour 2⃣️1⃣️Egypt is a tipping country, hotel tips are 10 Egyptian pounds/day, they charge tips for delivering luggage, I suggest doing it yourself
