The most magnificent western-style building in Lukang, the Gu Family Building

Location: No. 88, Guanqian Road, Lukang Township, Changhua County Introduction: Located in the back alley of Lukang Street (No. 152, Zhongshan Road, Lukang Township, Changhua County), it was formerly the residence of Gu Xianrong, one of the five most prominent families in Taiwan in modern times. According to the Lukang Land Administration Archives, construction began in 1914, Japan, and took five years to complete in 1919. The local residents of Lukang used to call this building "Yahe Dacuo". In 1973, the Gu family donated this western-style building to establish the Folk Cultural Relics Museum, which collects many local cultural relics of Lukang, including more than 6,000 daily necessities from the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China for the public to visit.
