Beibei Museum, Chongqing

[Beibei Museum] is located at 77 Yunqing Road, Beibei District, Chongqing. The name "Beibei" is said to come from a huge stone named "Bei" that stands from the river bank to the center of the Jialing River and is located north of Chongqing, hence the name Beibei. In 2013, Beibei Museum was rated as a national third-level museum by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, covering an area of 8,832 square meters, with an exhibition area of 1,962.5 square meters and a total collection of 15,000 pieces (sets). It has 6 cultural relics protection units (memorial halls), namely Lu Zuofu Memorial Hall, Four Generations Memorial Hall, Liang Shiqiu Memorial Hall, Yan Yangchu Memorial Hall, Honorary Soldiers Autonomous Experimental Zone Exhibition Hall during the Anti-Japanese War, and the old site of National Fudan University in Chongqing.
