The Great Ocean Road was built in memory of the soldiers who participated in the First World War, including many veterans. More than 3,000 workers contributed their hard work to its construction. The road began construction in 1919 and was completed in 1932. The Great Ocean Road winds along the west coast of Victoria, offering visitors magnificent ocean views and countless beach activities.
