Climbing the mountain to pick wild Siam tulips in Mukdahan

Today, I had the chance to visit Phang Daeng Subdistrict, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. I went hiking to pick wild Siam tulips and wild sweet leaves. The mountain is characterized by large rocks scattered around, creating a stunning view. Although it was quite hot since it hadn’t rained yet, the trip was still enjoyable. Hiking and climbing the rocks was fun, but you can’t just go on your own. You need local villagers to guide you; otherwise, you might get lost in the forest. The good news is that there’s phone signal on the mountain, and it’s very clear, which is great! One essential item for hiking is drinking water—make sure to bring some with you. There’s also a waterfall nearby, but I didn’t visit it because there’s no water at the moment. The hike up and down the mountain took almost 4 hours. It’s not a leisurely walk around the mountain; it’s quite tiring, so we decided to head back. If I get the chance, I’d love to visit again during the rainy season when there are likely to be more Siam tulips. I’d also like to try picking wild mushrooms—it sounds like so much fun!
