This is a place that you would like just by hearing its name, but to be honest, it is no different from those commercialized old streets nowadays. Renovated buildings, internet-famous check-in spots everywhere, and so-called special delicacies that are not very special. It's clear that a lot of effort has been put into managing it. Even on non-holiday evenings, there are many tourists, and internet-famous restaurants are everywhere. It's okay to come alone for a meal and a stroll, but there's no need to make a special trip. Personally, I feel that such copy-paste old streets lack cultural heritage. Those who want to join the crowd or already like internet-famous products might enjoy it. I prefer the tranquility of ancient towns with small bridges and flowing water. Maybe it's because Anchang holds a high place in my heart, so I'm immune to such places now.
