Garden of Morning Calm Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Beautiful Garden that feel peaceful
Decide to head to the garden of morning calm despite not being interested in nature and photography. However the views made me in awe and each garden was so beautiful.
The pond garden is the highlight of this attraction, as it shows a korean style garden.
However i recommend that you reach the garden in the morning to avoid tourists.
It is recommended if you like nature, photography or just want a nice walk down a beautiful garden.
Top 3 spots in Garden of Morning Calm, Seoul
#seoul
When visiting The Garden of Morning Calm, there are many beautiful areas to take amazing photos, and these are my top 3 recommendations!
1. The Pond Garden
The Pond garden has been used as a filming location for many Korean TV series, including the hit drama, “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,” starred by Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
2. Millenium Juniper
This Juniper tree has lived for a thousand years and it’s a sight not to be missed!
3. Hometown Garden
Hometown Garden is where a typical Korean thatched cottage is surrounded by trees and plants that Korean people love to plant near their houses. Very scenic.
Last but not least, if you happen to visit The Garden of Morning Calm this summer, do not miss the special Hydrangea exhibition on display until July 2023!
The Garden of Morning Calm
#seoul
We visited the Garden of Morning Calm when in South Korea (approximately 1.5-2 hours drive from Seoul city center) and it did not disappoint!
The Garden of Morning Calm is beautifully maintained with almost 5000 species of plants, and showcases many lovely flora and fauna throughout the year.
I will be back!
My rating of this attraction: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!
The newly built kids' pool villa in Gapyeong, Korea is a great value for money. 😆
#TravelingMonth
"What's the deal with this cost-effectiveness....🙄"
I immediately made a reservation for the newly built kids' pool villa in Gyeonggi Gapyeong as soon as I saw it 🏊🏻♀️🩱
It's called Lake Puyi's To✨
You can make a reservation for around 100,000 won on weekdays during the off-season👀
Usually, a kids' pool villa is far from the Instagram atmosphere,
and the rooms are full of colorful interiors just for kids,
but Lake Puyi's To is a sensuous accommodation that adults will also love🎀
Thanks to it, my mom took a lot of life shots...?😳
With a stylish and sophisticated interior,
a year-round hot water pool and a Lily Pet Kids Zone for children🎈
Thanks to my son who played happily without realizing the time,
I was able to take a break from parenting for a while😆
Moreover, you can enjoy it without additional fees,
Where else can you find such cost-effectiveness..,.🤦🏼♀️
📍Lake Puyi's To
🏷️14-12, Sumokwon-ro 386beon-gil, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do
📞1566-7427
▫️Pool villa, individual barbecue, bed room, duplex, family room,
swimming pool, barbecue area, Wi-Fi, modern, kids theme.

K-drama filming set in Petite France, Seoul
#seoultrip
One of the main reasons for K-drama fans to visit Petite France is to check out the filming set of “My Love from The Star”. It was one of the top Korean dramas ever.
Some of the places shown in this TV show have become very famous. Petite France is where, in episode 15 of My Love from The Star, Professor Do Min-joon finally confesses his love for Cheon Song-yi.
My rating of this attraction: 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5!
Petite France - Gapyeong, South Korea
Petite France, located in Gapyeong county, South Korea, is a charming French-themed village nestled amidst the picturesque countryside.
Inspired by the novel "The Little Prince”, it captures the essence of a French village with colorful houses, cobblestone streets & quaint shops. Many Korean dramas & variety shows featured Petite France too, including “My Love from the Star”, “Secret Garden” and “Running Man”.
You can immerse yourself in French culture through art exhibitions, performances & some traditional cuisine. Whether strolling through its gardens or enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Petite France offers a delightful escape to France from the bustling city life of Seoul.

The Gangchon Rail Park, built on the discontinued train line is the largest rail bike course in Korea. From the popular Gangchon Rail Park, visitors pedal on the 2/4-seater rail bike to enjoy breathtaking mountainous countryside and Bukhan River scenery, uniquely different in each season.

Experience riding through different interesting and fun themed tunnels (disco, bubble, romance) of colourful lights and sounds along the course.

1. The rail bike departs from the Gimyujeong Rail Bike Station to Nanggu Village (6km, 40mins).
2. At Nanggu Village stop, visitors can take a refreshment (and toilet) break and immerse in the scenic view around.
3. From Nanggu Village stop, visitors will next board the Romance Train to Gangchon Rail Bike Station, 2.5km. There are enclosed, semi-enclosed and open-air sections on board the Romance Train, allowing passengers to enjoy the beautiful scenery alongside Bukhangang River.

Experience the Rail Bike in Gapyeong ✨️
Welcome to Gapyeong Rail Park!
There are many Rail parks in Korea and one of the most beautiful I found is this Gapyeong one.
You need to do reservation beforehand as they run out of tickets very quickly. Their site has a very good description and directions to reach here without any problem.
There are 2 kinds of bikes, one with 2 people and other with 4 people capacity. They are electric, you just need to paddle a few times and then the electric engine kicks off making it very easy to ride and no exhaustion at all.
The scenes around the track are just marvelous and we were lucky to find the weather very misty. It appeared that the clouds had really come so down and descended the mountains that they were touching the water!
We crossed a bridge, a tunnel of trees on both sides and it is said that during spring this track is completely covered with cherry blossom 🌸
Do add it to your itinerary if u are visiting Namiseom :)
