Guilin/Yangshuo Trip

I planned a 3 day trip to Guilin during Spring Festival. I wouldn't recommend going during this time, although it's not busy at all, it's really cold and most places were closed. I would sat 3 days are enough to explore and see what you want to. I stayed at the Peach Blossom River Hotel, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, they went above and beyond to accommodate me, they arranged a driver to drive me where I wanted to go. They picked me up and dropped me off at the railway station, they can speak English at the hotel which made things easier. The hotel is right next to the Reed Flute Cave, so just a few steps away you can explore this beautiful cave. A driver took me to the port that's about an hour's drive for the Li River Cruise. The Cruise takes you from Guilin to Yangshuo along the river, the scenery along the river is breathtaking and I would definitely recommend the cruise. For eating and shopping you can explore West Street in Yanshuo and Dongxi Street in Guilin. My last day I went to the Longhi Rice terrace but it was a disappointment when I got to the top and it was all fogged up I couldn't see a thing. Luckily a saw a bit on my way up with the cable car. Getting There - The hotel picked me up the railway station. The hotel arranged a driver to drive me around to the attractions for the few days that I were there. Attractions - Reed Flute Caves, Li River, Longji Rice Terrace. There are loads more to see but those were the three main attractions I wnt to see. Hotels - Peach Blossom River Hotel Food & Restaurants - There are lots of restaurants to choose from if you want to try some local dishes as well as Western Restaurants like Burger King, KFC, Starbucks and Mc Donalds Shopping - Dongxi Streer in Guilin and West Street in Yangshuo
