I found a fairytale world in Guizhou Guizhou is full of hidden gems. This time, I discovered a paradise in Zunyi—Wujiang Village. Here is a 2-day itinerary. I happened to visit during the Wujiang Village Winter Song Festival—an amazing atmosphere! ☺️ Day 1: Arrive at Wujiang Village and check in to a hotel in the scenic area. 🏨 In the afternoon, watch a bamboo drifting performance, a folk performance, a tea ceremony, a hot pot banquet, a fish lantern parade, and a drone show. Day 2: Stroll around the village and take photos 📷, take a boat ride on the Wujiang River, make flower paper and fish lanterns with kids, and return in the afternoon. Recommended activities: ❤️ Make flower paper A must for families with kids. Make your own unique flower paper to take home. Frame it and hang it on the wall. ❤️ Folk performance There are performances all day long. Check the official account for the schedule. Must-see: bamboo drifting, iron flower, and drone show. ❤️ Fish 🐟 lantern parade Hold a fish lantern and parade with NPCs after dark. A great atmosphere. ❤️ Bonfire party Dance 💃 around the bonfire with a live band. Food 🍚 ❤️ Hot pot banquet, a local specialty. Enjoy a Miao culture performance while you eat. You can also dance with bamboo poles. ❤️ Sour fish soup, a Guizhou specialty. Spicy and sour, a real appetite booster. Give it a try. Accommodation 🏨 There are many hotels 🏨 and inns in the scenic area at different prices. We stayed at Miao King Hotel. The room balcony offers a view of Wujiang Village. You can watch the drone show without going to the square. Transport ✈️ Take a high-speed train 🚄 to Zunyi or Zunyi South Station. There are shuttle buses 🚌 at the train station.
