#2024wish In January 2015, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Ōtani Hongan-ji Hakodate Betsu-in in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. Nestled in Motomachi, this serene temple, affiliated with the Jodo Shinshu sect, captivated me with its historic charm and spiritual ambiance. Surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, the temple's intricate architecture and profound tranquility left an indelible mark on my soul. As I strolled through the temple grounds, the echoes of prayers and the scent of burning incense created an immersive experience. The crisp winter air added a poetic touch to the visit. In 2024, I wish to go there again, hoping to relive the peaceful moments and rekindle the spiritual connection that made my initial trip so profound.
