[Miyajima] A World Heritage island where you can enjoy the torii gate at low tide and local gourmet food

The round-trip ferry fare is about 500 yen, and includes the island entrance tax. While not as popular as in Nara, there are deer and the atmosphere is quite impressive. The admission fee to Itsukushima Shrine is about 300 yen, and I was impressed that at low tide, I could walk right up to the large torii gate. The shrine grounds also had some unique signs, like a disinfectant spray with the word "purification" written on it, which was interesting. I stopped off at Miyajima Coffee, a relaxing cafe I highly recommend, to take a break from the heat. I purchased their famous fried momiji at Momijido, choosing the rare cheese flavor, but the classic red bean paste flavor is probably the best. For dinner, I enjoyed the limited-edition conger eel rice and soba noodle set at Miyajima Yohei, a restaurant directly managed by the hotel.
