One-day tour to outlying islands - Ap Chau

Ap Chau has the rare reddish-brown breccia (a type of sedimentary rock) and unique geological environment in Hong Kong. It is included in the Hong Kong UNESCO World Geopark. There is a sea arch in the north of the island (at the duck head), forming the "Duck Eye", which is a very popular geological attraction☺️ 8:00am Arrive at Exit A2 of Shatin Railway Station and take minibus No. 27 to get off at Ma Liu Shui. Remember to say you are going to Ma Liu Shui before getting on the bus, because the minibus charges in sections (gold). Going to Ma Liu Shui is $0.6 cheaper, although not much, but it is worth it! Get on the bus at 8:16am Arrived at Ma Liu Shui at 8:31am, walked to the No. 3 landing to take the ferry between Ma Liu Shui and Kat O and Ap Chau. There is a ticket office next to the No. 3 landing. The round trip ticket is $90 per person for the same day, cash only. The ferry ticket has the sailing schedule printed on it. The ferry journey to Ap Chau takes about 2 hours! The boat departed on time at 9:00am. The most surprising thing was that there was a tour guide on the boat giving explanations along the way, especially on the outbound journey. The most eye-catching and emphasized attraction on the tour guide's introduction is the "Ghost Hand Rock" located in Wong Chuk Kok Tsui! Wong Chuk Kok Tsui is a narrow cape to the east of Plover Cove. It is within the Geopark and faces the Tolo Channel. It has the oldest sedimentary rocks in Hong Kong. The coast at the end of the cape is covered with many weathered rocks, the most famous of which is the "Ghost Hand Rock"!
