Hong Kong-style classic afternoon tea: Sito and puff pastry egg tarts

Tea restaurants occupy an important position in Hong Kong's historical food culture. This is my first time to check in at this old Wan Chai restaurant. I usually take the bus home here, and it is a rare opportunity to have a Hong Kong-style afternoon tea after watching the flower show. 📍Location: Wan Chai Station Exit A5, turn left and walk for about 4 minutes. The bus stop to the New Territories is right in front of the restaurant. 🏠Environment: With a yellow sign, it is divided into two parts. One side is ordinary tea, and the other side sells oven bread, egg tarts or cakes, etc. The interior is quite large. The cashier is on the right side near the door, and on the left is a light green booth with a glass table. The walls are covered with reflective mirrors, and the names of dishes and photos from the Hong Kong movie "Moonlight" are hung everywhere, giving it a nostalgic feel. 🤵🏻Service: Order by hand, no surcharge. 🍽️Afternoon tea: Four afternoon tea sets are available starting at 2pm, with a minimum consumption of 22 yuan. 🍞Kaya French Toast $45 It is a very evil toast 😆, because there is a thick layer of butter on the bread 🥹, which is slowly melting, and comes with a bottle of syrup. Personally, I think there is no need to add syrup, the taste is sweet and fragrant😋, the middle of the bread is spread with sweet kaya, fried to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside😍, plus the square bread is large😉, so after eating it, I was so satisfied that I didn’t need to eat dinner. 🥧Puff pastry egg tart $10 The pastry is thick and folded in multiple layers. It feels very crispy when you bite it 🤩. The egg in the middle is very smooth, with just the right sweetness and full of egg fragrance. No wonder it has become a signature dish☺️. 🍵Hot milk tea (with meal) The tea is fragrant and milky, with a sweet aftertaste. No sugar is needed. It is a very authentic Hong Kong-style milk tea.
