Hong Kong Airport's The Wing Lounge | A Hidden Sunset Bar at Gate 1

Cathay Pacific's The Wing Lounge is conveniently located next to Gate 1, offering separate areas for First Class and Business Class passengers. Open until 2:30 AM, it’s incredibly thoughtful! Although some joke that it’s "just for credit card holders," the experience far exceeded expectations during my visit. My favorite spot is the window-side bar area—order an orange cocktail 🍹, watch planes glide past the sunset, and let the golden light reflecting off the drink soothe your soul. A delightful surprise here is the blue cheese 🧀, which is usually reserved for long-haul flights (I had it during dinner on a flight to Singapore!). The noodle bar is the same as The Deck, but the Haagen-Dazs ice cream flavors are the real highlight 💥. Unlike the flavors at The Pier, you can scoop up the cookie flavor here freely—ice cream lovers might even detour just for this treat 🤣. The bartenders also craft special mocktails; last time, I was recommended a "Passionfruit Elderflower" drink while waiting for my flight. Its perfect balance of sweet and sour paired with a cheese platter was simply divine. This lounge also holds a special memory for me—writing a fan letter 📝 for Park Chanyeol while sipping two cocktails late at night. The warm yellow lighting combined with the glow of aircraft landing lights created an unbeatable ambiance! Next time, make sure to grab a window-side sofa seat, enjoy the sunset, and dig into some ice cream. This is truly the right way to spend your time at the airport!
