Historic buildings in Tak Wah Park

Tak Wah Park was built on the former grounds of Hoi Pa Hakka Village and the park still contains some of the Hakka village's original buildings. In other words, these retained buildings were located in the old site of Hoi Pa Village in Tsuen Wan and now within Tak Wah Park. The Old House was declared a monument in 1986 and the Chan Yi Cheung Ancestral Hall was rated a Grade 3 historic building in 2010. The retained historic buildings are now used as exhibition, resources centre or storing materials. There are other facilities in Tak Wah Park, such as stone bridges, pavilion, rock mountain etc. with ornamental lakes in between setting up a nice and user friendly place and peaceful environment for members of the public to relax and enjoy themselves. Elderly are working hard at the fitness corner and some playing chess or musical instrument on my day of visit, they are so lovely. Adults and kids are playing around and some doing their homework on the stone tables! Weather is so nice with warm sunshine, it worth paying a visit or have a leisure walk in this Chinese style landscaped park and have a look of the retained historic buildings which are ranging from around 120 to over 200 years old!
