The Shitiping Recreation Area is a seashore stretching for one kilometer and covered with gray and white rock. It was originally a tuff (volcanic clastic rock) formation formed after the volcanic eruption. This coastal zone is due to the soft and hard differences between the rock layers. After years of sea erosion, the hard convex, soft concave, the rock tilts to the southeast sea at a certain inclination, so a stone ladder shape is formed. Shitiping is the last stop of our road. It is really a big rock. On the other side of the rock is the Pacific Ocean without margin. A small suggestion about choosing Kenting Hualien Sea Line or Mountain Line: If you are having fun in Kenting, then it is recommended to take the mountain line, because the sea will see some boring because of the follow-up journey.
