Walking Through Tranquil Moments in Ganghwa Island – Anglican Church of Ganghwa

As you stroll through the alleys of Ganghwa-eup, a red brick building quietly reveals itself beyond the walls. This is the Anglican Church of Ganghwa. It may not be particularly grand or ornate, but its unpretentious appearance seems to be part of its charm. I knew it was an Anglican church, but standing before it, I found its atmosphere to be more refined than I had imagined. Although the interior was not open to visitors, the exterior alone conveyed a sense of history and tranquility. Standing in front of the church, it felt less like a tourist spot and more like peeking into an old moment in time. The texture of time that Ganghwa embodies was palpable here as well. The lack of crowds made it even more enjoyable, and it was a perfect place to take a leisurely look around.
