A day trip to see modern and contemporary Korean history, China, and Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

#DomesticTravel A place you can reach from Seoul in less than an hour by subway! A fun trip to Incheon where you can enjoy the ocean, grilled clams, and experience Korea's modern and contemporary history and culture, along with the multiculturalism of China and Japan. ๐Ÿš‰ ๐ŸŽก Three Kingdoms Mural Street โœ”๏ธ Location: 262-15 Jemullyang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon We'll start with Incheon Chinatown. Since we arrived early, we'll head to a cafe in the Three Kingdoms Mural Street for coffee before heading out. โ˜•๏ธ Unlike the bustling Chinatown, the Three Kingdoms Mural Street is located in a quiet alley. The path up the hill is a delight to the eyes, but it can be a bit tiring on the legs. Then, a cafe will come to mind, like a welcome shower. Now called Cafe Hills, I really like this cozy and clean cafe. It's a great place to take a break, enjoying delicious coffee and sweet desserts while admiring the Three Kingdoms murals through the large windows. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ Incheon Chinatown โœ”๏ธ Location: 12-17 Chinatown-ro 26beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon Let's go to Chinatown! Delicious food is the foundation of any trip. Shrimp chibitkoyaki and Macau-style egg tarts don't seem like Chinese food, but they were still new to me and refreshing. ๐Ÿฅ  I bought the flower-shaped ice cream because it reminded me of something I had during my trip to Europe. :) There's a Jajangmyeon street in Chinatown, but the lines at every Chinese restaurant are incredibly long. I already have a lunch menu, so I skipped it, but Jajangmyeon in Chinatown seems to be famous, so I'll definitely have to try it sometime. ๐ŸŽก Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village โœ”๏ธ Location: Songwol-dong 3-ga, Jung-gu, Incheon Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village was definitely different from the mural villages I've visited before. The decorations are different. โœจ๏ธ It's fun to bring a three-dimensional feel to fairy tale characters, not just in paintings, but also in sculptures and 3D models. Almost all my favorite fairy tale characters are there, so it's a lot of fun to explore. ๐Ÿ˜Š Walking through Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village, filled with colorful and adorable characters, I felt like I was inside a fairy tale, which was fun. :) ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Japanese-style Street โœ”๏ธ Location: Gwandong 1-ga, Jung-gu, Incheon As you walk, you'll come across Japanese-style streets lined with Japanese architecture, creating a completely different atmosphere. Although it's only a short distance away, there are many museums and exhibition halls worth visiting, such as the Incheon Port Opening Museum and the Incheon Port Opening Modern Architecture Exhibition Hall. Incheon offers a diverse range of experiences, from Korean modern and contemporary culture to a charming fairy tale village, and even Chinese and Japanese influences! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽก Incheon Beer โœ”๏ธ Location: 41 Sinpo-ro 15beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon There's a famous Incheon craft beer house here. Let's stop by and get into the mood for a daytime drink. You can order a beer on the first floor of Incheon Beer and enjoy it on the vintage second floor. ๐Ÿป Pick up some Gaehangno Beer, Pado Beer, and Mongyubyung Beer on the first floor and head up to the second floor. Bring some snacks with you. Luckily, glasses and openers are provided. On the second floor, you can tour the brewery and even doodle with chalkboard markers. It's a fun event that brings back childhood memories of doodling on the walls. ๐Ÿ’– ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท Jayu Park Centennial Memorial Tower for the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with the United States โœ”๏ธ Location: 93 Jayu Park-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon Now, it's time for modern and contemporary history. In 1882, Jemulpo was the site of the Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Commerce between Korea and the United States, the first and unequal treaty signed between Joseon and a Western power. Jayu Park also has a monument commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and the United States. Korea's first Western-style garden, built during the reign of King Gojong, also features a statue of General MacArthur, who commanded the Incheon Landing Operation, and a memorial to the student soldiers who fought in the war. It's a place where you can reflect on history. ๐Ÿ™ ๐ŸŽก Cheongchun Jogae Location: 21-2 Wolmimunhwa-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon I came to Wolmido Island to try grilled clams. As I was walking around Wolmido, two cute monorails passed overhead. I considered riding them, but the prices weren't cheap. ๐Ÿ˜… It's raining, so let's hurry and go to Cheongchun Jogae! It was the weekend, but since it was after 3 p.m., we were able to get in without a wait. They offer all-you-can-eat, but I didn't think I could eat much, so I ordered the Premium Grilled Clam Set for two. They offer a variety of menu items, including various clams, pen scallop pasta, green onion bulgogi, corn cheese, cheese tteokbokki, and roe shrimp gratin. Plus, self-service seafood ramen is free! Even ice cream for dessert is free! ๐Ÿฆ I had a truly fulfilling and fun day, filling my day from morning to night in Incheon, just an hour away from Seoul. ๐Ÿคฉ

Incheon Chinatown

๐ŸŒžIncheon's Hidden Chinese Theme Park_"Chinatown"๐ŸŒž Today, I'm going to post about "Chinatown," one of Incheon's representative tourist destinations! In fact, I visited Incheon Station to ride the "๐Ÿš‹Wolmi Sea Train," but they said it was closed due to the coronavirus situation..๐Ÿ˜‚ So I ended up visiting "Chinatown," which was right next door. I often visit "Chinatown," and since I live in Incheon, it's close, so I often visit it alone when I have time! When I miss traveling to China after traveling to China, I often visit Daelim or Chinatown, but the two places have a completely different feel! Daelim feels like real China, while Chinatown feels like a Chinese theme park! :-) There are various restaurants and cafes in Chinatown, and there are also stalls selling various trinkets and stores selling various Chinese snacks๐Ÿฅฎ, so I could easily spend hours walking around! :0 And since other Incheon tourist attractions such as "Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village" and "Wolmi Theme Park" are very close, it seems very convenient and good to visit them together! #IncheonTravel #SoloTravel #DomesticTravel #ChineseTheme #Restaurant #Cafe #WithKids
