Snapshots of Yummies in Jakarta

With final exams being over and a close friend “coincidentally” having some errands to do in Jakarta, me and my friends got the perfect excuse to go on a Jakarta trip. Right after landing, we decided to head towards one-of-my-friend’s top requested Sushi place in Jakarta. Located at the prestigious area of PIK, the taste of the food at this restaurant definitely did not disappoint us. To this date, I think this is still the best Sushi place that I’ve tried in Indonesia. The next day, I was meeting with another friend and decided to grab some lunch at a Thai restaurant. It was pretty decent for a Thai food place in Indonesia. Starting a new day, our group was pretty keen on trying a famous steak restaurant that has a pretty high reputation. When we arrived, the place was pretty full and since we didn’t reserved a table, we weren’t able to grab a spot. Disappointed and hangry, we moved to another steak place close by. Food portions were very small with a price that definitely did not match the portion sizes. Tasted pretty decent but we were quite bummed since we came with high expectations for the previous steak restaurant and that expectations followed through to this place. On the last day, we decided to try the viral (at the time of visit) cafe before heading back to the airport. The drink was fine and the pastries were quite decent. Nothing super memorable. That was all the food me and my friends tried during our trip to Jakarta. We definitely had other food but since I can’t find a picture for those, I won’t bother writing about it here. Be it as it may, since it was a trip with my best friends, the trip was a joyful memory for me.
