Hyeopjae Beach

#ThailandFlightEvent Jeju Island, surrounded by the sea on all sides, has water sports and vacation spots in the north, south, east, and west. Among them, Hyeopjae Beach, located on the west side of Jeju, is a place that many people always visit. With its shallow emerald waters, anyone of any age can enjoy water sports, and you can see Biyangdo Island across the sea. It is a famous Jeju Island spot with a beautiful sunset. As of 2023, Hyeopjae Beach was visited by 136,343 people during the Jeju Island beach opening period (July-August), ranking second only to Hamdeok Beach (231,937 people) on the east side of Jeju. The ocean scenery that I visited after a long time on a recent warm spring day was still beautiful, and there were people walking barefoot on the white sand beach during the day and enjoying playing in the water. I will introduce the parking lot fee in detail along with the scenery of Geumneung Beach right next to it. The parking lot is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the first 30 minutes are free, after 30 minutes the basic fee is 1,000 won, and after that, 500 won is added for every 15 minutes. Like other famous ocean attractions, Jeju Hyeopjae Beach has detailed safety rules and prohibited items. It is prohibited to litter, illegally collect seafood, or fly drones. Be sure to always be mindful of safety as poisonous jellyfish may appear during the summer. Hyeopjae Beach is approximately 200m long, 60m wide, and has an average depth of 1.2m. It is shallow and has a gentle slope, making it perfect for children and beginners to enjoy playing in the water. The white sandy beach is covered in seashells that sparkle. Beyond Hyeopjae Beach is an island called Biyangdo. Biyangdo, which is part of Course 14 of the Jeju Olle Trail, is an inhabited island with three boats departing a day. The scenery is beautiful, so if you have time, it would be a good idea to take a boat and go see it.
