Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it's a great place to escape the heat and travel conveniently! 🚗Recommended Route: Day 1: Red Stone Gorge - Zifang Lake - Zhuyu Peak Day 2: Wanshan Temple - Xiaozhaigou (Macaque Valley - Tan Waterfall Gorge - Spring Waterfall Gorge) 🚕Transportation Guide 1⃣High-speed train: Xiuwu West Station, carpool for 15 yuan per person directly to the entrance of the scenic area, about 30 minutes 2⃣High-speed train: Jiaozuo Station, carpool for 20 yuan per person, about 50 minutes 🏠Accommodation Staying at the service area on the shore is most convenient. The service area is like a pedestrian street, with food, drink, entertainment, and lodging all available, and it's very close to the entrance of the scenic area! You can directly take the scenic area sightseeing bus when you come out! 👍Recommended Attractions 📍🚩Red Stone Gorge 🕰Time spent: 2 hours Red Stone Gorge is the core scenic area of Yuntai Mountain, a must-visit attraction, known as the 'Bonsai Valley', with a total length of 2000 meters. Enter from Red Stone Gorge and exit at Zifang Lake, appreciating the natural wonders along the way. ⭕️There are shops selling small items along Zifang Lake, the items are very cheap and quite characteristic! It's my first time seeing things sold in a scenic area cheaper than outside! Worth taking a look if you're interested, you won't lose out!! 📍Zhuyu Peak to watch the sunset 🕰Time spent: 2-3 hours 🎋'Alone in a foreign land, I am twice homesick on this festive day. Knowing my brothers have climbed high, I insert Zhuyu in my hair, missing one.' This is the Zhuyu Peak from the poems of Wang Wei, also the main peak of Yuntai Mountain, with an altitude of 1297.6 meters. Main attractions: Yaowang Cave, Guandi Temple, Xuandi Palace. ⭕️🔅Take the scenic area bus to the entrance of Zhuyu Peak, about 30 minutes. Zhuyu Peak has a total of 1660 steps, it is recommended to climb directly, 1 hour up the mountain, 20 minutes down. There are steep steps at the beginning and end, but the middle path is relatively flat and the forest is cool. Personally, I think there is no need to take the cable car, don't be intimidated by the appearance of the starting and ending points. 🌅Sunset time: If you are going to watch the sunset, the sunset time is late in summer, so it's suggested to start later and climb slowly. ✏ 📍Wanshan Temple ⏰Time spent: 40 minutes Wanshan Temple is particularly quiet with few people, perhaps because of the few people, the sound of cicadas seems particularly lively. There is a rare sense of tranquility here. You can get three sticks of incense for free at the temple. 📍Xiaozhaigou🏞 (Macaque Valley - Tan Waterfall Gorge - Spring Waterfall Gorge) 🕰Total time spent in Xiaozhaigou: About 5 hours These attractions are close to each other. In Macaque Valley, you can see monkeys and performances. Tan Waterfall Gorge and Spring Waterfall Gorge are somewhat similar, with mountain play and water fun, and the spring waterfalls are particularly refreshing! Tan Waterfall Gorge has more shade and is a better place to cool off.
