At the summit of Jilong Mountain

#wheretogo Had some free time on my visit to Jiufen, Taiwan and so made an unscheduled trip to Jilong Mountain. The entrance to Jilong mountain is relatively easy to find, it’s well sign posted and a short walk from Jiufen Old street. I am really happy I visited as this lush Taiwanese gem beckons with its serene hiking trails, emerald forests, and panoramic vistas. The summit rewards intrepid adventurers with breathtaking views of Jilong’s bustling port and the Pacific Ocean. In addition to its natural allure, Jilong or Keelung Mountain boasts rich cultural history, exemplified by ancient temples and shrines dotting the landscape. It was an easy hike of about 1-2 hours to the summit and a very memorable experience and I highly recommend anyone who is in the area to visit.
