Travel from Kalambaka to Athens by bus

From Kalambaka we will return to Athens by bus. Since there is only 1 train per day between the two cities and it leaves in the evening, we do not want to arrive in Athens late at night. The bus ticket costs 29 euros, leaving Kalambaka at 11 am, changing trains at Trikala at 12 pm, and then heading straight to Athens at 5 pm. Along the way, we stop to use the restroom and have lunch at 3 pm. The food is very expensive, so we ordered macaroni and squid. I was shocked at 10 euros, but the taste was very good.
