The Favorite Place for Local People

A major attraction for beach-goers from Kedah and Mainland Penang and north Perak. Accommodation is available with the usual shops for can-do dishes and toys plus clothes and fruits. Good for fishing and a gateway for islands across: Pulau Bidan and Pulau Telor. A few miles away on land, you can reach Pulau Sayak. Wish the users and authorities can improve the cleanliness and attractions/buildings on the spot and surrounding areas. It's been here twice as my local friend always bring me here when i'm going to meet him. It's nice place with breezy wind, you can see a lot of children playing around and it's cleanliness is okay. It's a great place to have a chit chat with your friend here.

Pantai Merdeka aka Independence Beach!

There’s no beach here where you can swim but it is a nice place if you want to have local cuisine. I am a laksa lover, tried the laksa at the first stall (yellow and green coloured stall). It was okay but a little sweet. I was a bit frustrated. But the ABC and Cendol was good. They have a “night market” style of stalls selling foods, scarves, fake jerseys and clothings. But what I wanted to highlight here is the beautiful paddy fields and scenery that u will experience along the way to Pantai Merdeka. Do not hesitate to stop by and have some quick snaps! Worth it! It's a nice place to getaway form all our busy life but need some help to clean up the place and a nice public amenities. They are plenty of food trucks on holiday or weekend. An evening at Pantai Merdeka

Pantai Merdeka located in Kedah.There is a boat you can rent to cross to Tanjung Dawai.It takes about 15 minutes.There is local stall you can eat here.ABC is a must here.Mee Udang also one of the signiture here.Food price a bit pricey.There is a chalet you can rent.Chalet just near the sea.Only walking distance to the sea.#sea View#staycation

PANTAI MERDEKA 🇲🇾

Pantai Merdeka is a beautiful beach at the river mouth of the Sungai Merbok about 30km from Sungai Petani. It is a very popular beach and is usually crowded during the weekends and public holidays. Interesting place to visit with family members or friends. They have are “night market” styles of stall selling foods, scarves, blouses, fake jerseys and clothings. There are plenty of food trucks on holiday or weekend. You can take a boat ride to Tanjung Dawai across to find a local food product. It cost only RM3 each way. Parking is not a problem here as there is a vast area to park our vehicles. Don’t hesitate to come over here. Staycation at Swiss Avenue Sungai Petani

❤️First time staying here, all and all, it was a pleasant experience. The pool was huge, great for kids/family. If you come on the weekend, the hotel will sell some finger food selections for you to munch by the pool for RM10 per serving/plate. ❤️Room deposits have to be paid by cash, please make sure you bring extra cash for it. ❤️My room was at the opposite end from the hotel lobby, quite a bit of a walk to check in/out and to their cafe for breakfast. But they have few lifts and another entrance from behind. If you're bringing elderly, make sure you drop by the main entrance to check in first and drive to the back entrance so they don't have to walk that far ❤️Spacious pool with uniques status of animal. The rooms are quite big & beds very comfortable. We can relax and play at the gym & swimming pools. A lot of parking and no problem if come in night time also. Friendly and professional staff. Also, we enjoyed the facilities especially the pool. Offer varieties of delicious foods and drinks. Highly recommended.. great location as well and easy to find.. overall satisfied..

Comfortable hotels with reasonable price

This hotel is one of the better hotels in Sungai Petani in terms of overall class. It is near the highway south toll so people arriving here late at night could certainly stay overnight. The Special Deluxe room that I got was nice and spacious. The staff all helpful and always smiling. The location is superb; it is right next to a highway and the main road but it is not packed with cars. Basement parking was well-lit and wide. Food was really delicious My kids love thw swimming pool, kid's pool slightly small though. If you opt for indoor sport, bowling alley is just the next door to the hotel. Foods are awesome, delicious and lots of variety. #Sungaipetani #Kedah

Lots of food choices for breakfast

Room was spacious for family like us and have bath tub too. They have lifeguard at swimming pool and he will brief us do's and don't while at swimming pool. Buffet breakfast having many selection. Hotel staffs friendly and have a good customer service. Definately will come again 😉 The lobby is stunning especially at night when all the ceiling lights are on. The staffs there are mostly very friendly and are willing to answer your questions patiently. The bistro restaurant at the lobby serve buffet breakfast daily for hotel guests but please don’t plan your family buffet lunch here as the hotel only do buffet lunch when the restaurant is pack with people The location is easy to reach. But don't drive around during the time people go to work or coming back home from work. The food is great, generous portion and delicious.
