Visit the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau Building in Macau: a treasure of history and culture 🏛️✨

#macauattractions During our trip to Macau, we visited the Municipal Affairs Bureau. This building was formerly the Civil Affairs Bureau building. It was built in 1784 and has been renovated many times. Its current size originated from the reconstruction in 1874. Approaching this building, I was amazed by the characteristics of Southern European architectural art. The elegant lines and symmetrical design show the historical charm✨. After entering the building, the library on the second floor was opened in 1929. Its design was inspired by the library of Mafra Monastery in Portugal. Although the library was not open that day and I couldn’t experience it in person, I’ll come and see it next time📚. I heard that this place specializes in collecting ancient foreign books from the 17th to the 1950s. I imagined the stories in those books and it made me yearn for it📖. Walking forward on the upper floor is a central garden🌸, which is very large, as if you have gone to another foreign world. You can sit here and rest for a while, feeling the tranquility and beauty. During the tour inside the building, I also noticed the details of the building itself, and every decoration revealed the prosperity of the past✨. This building is not only the seat of administrative agencies, but also a cultural symbol, carrying the history and heritage of Macau🌍.
