_TI***uq:“BAD FOOD & BAD SERVICE!Ate here at the Town House Restaurant while visiting Uvalde this Memorial weekend, May 25, 2024 and can tell you the food was horrible! Our waitress had a very obvious attitude from the moment she took our drink order. After delivering our drinks she eventually brought out chips & salsa and asked if we were ready to order yet. Our party, which included 4 adults, an 11 year old, and an 8 month old ordered our meals. The order was 2 Derby Deluxe Plates, 1 flauta plate, 1 Mexican plate & a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, 1 unsweet tea, 2 half & half teas, 1 regular tea & 1 lemon aide in to-go cups. I had the Derby Deluxe Plater of which the refried beans were dry & had a funky taste, the carne guisada had more potato chunks than meat and was tasteless, the ground beef in the hard taco was undercooked & pink, the cheese enchilada had a bitter tasting red sauce & very little cheese inside, and lastly, the chalupa consisted of the same funky tasting refried beans & melted oily cheese! The side salad was very small, brought out after the meals were delivered but was decent. She asked if anyone wanted a refill at which I responded yes, unsweet tea please. When she returned with said refill and I took a drink of it, it was sweet tea & not unsweet as requested so I went without a drink the rest of the time there. Food was so bad that when she asked did anyone want a to-go box, we all responded no at the same time! Our bill was $102 and some change for really substandard Tex-Mex food and crappy service. Needless to say we left no tip and found out when I called a few minutes after we left to tell the manager how bad her attitude was that she had already left which leaves me to believe that her nasty attitude was because she didn’t want to wait our table to begin with & was in a hurry to get off to go home! I will never, ever bother to go back there and neither will the other 3 adults in our group, 2 of which live in Uvalde!😳”
