Chiang Mai's new hotel, full of luxury | Raya Heritage

✨Three years after going abroad, the first hotel I chose was Raya Heritage in Chiang Mai, which is a dreamland in itself, with light dancing in the air. Although the word "healing" has been overused, when a white-clad server greets you with a pure Thai smile, a fragrant bouquet of gardenias, the evening light painting the white buildings of the hotel and spilling onto the surface of the Ping River, the sunlight shining through the ancient trees in the atrium, a cup of ginger tea and a lemongrass-scented towel, Southeast Asia in my memory is instantly awakened... The architect Boonlert and designer Dao are both active practitioners of Asian minimalism, using a large number of Northern Thai Lanna architectural elements such as gable roofs, retro hardwood columns, and beams. The 9-meter-high open-air hotel lobby presents a full-width screen from trees to rivers, with sunlight passing through the hall and light and shadow changing with the time, integrating the agility of nature into the architectural space, creating a minimalist and restrained Thai contemporary architectural aesthetic. ✨The hotel works closely with local craftsmen such as woodcarvers, weavers, and potters to design unique handmade furniture and decorations for the hotel. Coupled with ancient objects collected from indigenous tribes, every corner of the hotel is a natural and retro beauty. ✨ 38 sets of guest rooms are located in 11 three-story buildings (the first floor suite comes with a swimming pool), with two main color schemes of white and indigo blue. Looking out from the terrace of my guest room, there are blooming Chinese redbud flowers, sitting here daydreaming is extremely comfortable. ✨ The hotel is not too far or too close to Chiang Mai's old city, maintaining a low-key and peaceful atmosphere. Although the hotel occasionally has shuttle buses to and from the old city, I am more fascinated by staying in the hotel. The outdoor pool by the Ping River occasionally has yellow petals floating in the water; the organic restaurant surrounded by tall banana trees has first-class Thai flavors in both taste and presentation, and you can even taste Laotian and Yunnan flavors; the "bamboo"-themed bar uses a dark style to fight against the Southeast Asian sunshine, but is full of coolness and tranquility; the tea room on the second floor not only has a river view, but also allows you to enjoy a Thai-style afternoon tea here. ✨ As a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Raya Heritage lives up to expectations.
